Couldn’t sleep properly due to the noise from the street (windows were closed). Could hear people outside throughout the night till 6am in the morning.
Ideal spot for walking from railway station and into city centre. Staff very pleasant and friendly. Lovely fluffy towels and good quality bed linen. Would stay again.
The only good thing the property has is the location. I don’t know how the hotel manages to get a 4 star. A 3 star hotel is a more accurate rating. The air conditioner did not work, the carpet was stained, there are no elevators and three sets of stairs. When I asked the receptionist to change my room or move me to a sister hotel, they made it very difficult. They managed to move me for the fist night to a different room which had the filter cleaning function on the air conditioner. Air conditioner was not working in the room either. No effort to accommodate or options except paying a higher price for another room. It is a standard, mediocre service hotel that definetely does not deserve the category of a 4 star.
Right in the middle of Oxford shopping and dining, it is a vibrant and convenient. It is simple but comfortable and the shower has great pressure and I thought my stress was washed away with it. Clean and reasonable.
The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and will store luggage until checkin time. Great location, very close to the train and bus stations and many restaurants.
There were a few negatives: there is no lift and the stairs are steep, the toilet seat was too small for the base and it was not fastened properly. It would be helpful to have some place to put soap while in the shower.
Located in a great location. Walkable to anything you'd like to see and do in Oxford. It was small, but very clean. The only real problem we experienced with the bathroom was that the toilet seat was smaller than the toilet itself making it a bit uncomfortable. They were aware and apologized but it was an order error and they were waiting for new one to be delivered. The restaurant they have "a deal" with for breakfast is not really a deal. 10% off an already expensive breakfast is not a true deal. I believe it was Iberian cuisine and didn't really do anything for us. There is a restaurant called The Spire that is around the corner in the Gloucester Glen Square the was EXCELLENT and we ate there twice before leaving. There is also an outdoor market there with a myriad of street foods that looked and smelled amazing. The hotel is narrow and you are met with about 23 stairs. There is no lift. If your room is not on the 1st floor, you will need to go up more stairs. Overall, a great value and good location

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Disliked: Amenities
Good location. TV service was bad. No elevator,so not good for elderly people.
Room was very nice but only place to store toiletries was a ledge above the toilet, inconvenient and a risk of your toothbrush falling in. Stairwell from street level before check in on the first floor is daunting after dragging your bags from the train station. Very good location

Clean and convenient. Fit for purpose and in a good location
Location great. This is not a 4* hotel. Staff were nowhere to be found most of the time, apart from one who locked herself out and had to be buzzed back in. Shower emitted a noisy high pitched whine as soon as turned on. AC unit rattled whenever turned on. Windows were not double glazed. We had booked for two nights but left after one night.
Liked the room and the cleanliness within it. Appreciate the staff in their warm welcome and information sharing. The area is pretty close to everything you’ll need to do as a tourist.
