Rishi the GM at the Sunset Inn was very gracious and hospitable. My fiancé and I have been traveling to Pacific Grove for over 2 years and it is individuals like Rishi and the positive lodging experiences like this that keeps us coming back. Thank you Rishi and Sunset Inn!

The management is so friendly and accommodating. My husband is disabled and when we got there the manager let me pick between two rooms and gave a discount. We enjoyed our stay so much and will definitely be back.

What appeared on the first look to be a quaint Christmas village sparkling with lights, opened up to a surprisingly modern, comfortable and exceptionally clean room. I was grateful for the litlle comforts of a fridge, microwave and coffee machine. The gas fireplace heated the room fast and gave it a cozy appeal. I love the short walk to the beach. I would love to stay over here again.

Our reservation was changed last minute by the venue so we had to stay at their sister property. They claimed they’d reach back out to “make things right” but never did. After researching, the property they actually had us at, it was significantly cheaper but we ended up having to pay the same price because we prepaid. Overall, will never stay with either locations again. The location we ended up at felt like a cheap motel, definitely not worth the price. My biggest complaint was they told us a manager would be reaching out and they never did so it felt like we were scammed.

Great Service. Great Stay.
Rishi met us late in the night to check us in and made sure we were comfortable. He also gave us great recommendations about local activities. His service added to the overall cozy atmosphere of the inn. It was a great stay!

This was the absolute most fantastic place. The staff alone we would have stayed for, however the room and property were perfect as well. Only a few minutes of a beautiful drive from downtown Monterey. You can’t ask for much more for the price. Thank you.

This is a nice clean motel. Beds were very comfortable. Service was very friendly. We were looking for someplace reasonably priced. Great for a quick overnight stop. Lots of good walking trails to the ocean a lighthouse right around the area.

Comfy and clean
From checking in until departure, this was an exceptional place to stay in Monterey. Rishi, the manager, was extremely helpful, instructing us how to use the fireplace. Will definitely be back.
