Kitchen Access: Our kitchen is a dedicated gluten-free facility and is off-limits to all guests. However, if you’re visiting while the bakery is fulfilling orders, you may be treated to the delightful aroma of freshly baked bread, cinnamon, and vanilla. Samples are available to guests.
Check-In: Standard check-in is between 1 PM and 8 PM. If you require special accommodations, please let us know—we’re happy to assist!
Accessibility: Please be advised that the house is not wheelchair accessible.
Shoes Policy: To keep our home spotless and comfortable, shoes are to be left in the enclosed mudroom/laundry room upon entry.
Arrival & Safety: Upon arrival, you will receive a 4-digit door code and be asked to review and sign a short waiver for the safety of both guests and the property owner. For safety reasons, please do not bring or burn candles. This 1905 home is made of wood.
Fragrance-Free Environment: To maintain a chemical-free space, we kindly ask guests to refrain from using colognes, perfumes, or scented body products, as many individuals are sensitive or allergic to common chemicals found in beauty products.
Brown Bunny offers a safe, peaceful, and welcoming retreat where guests can enjoy cozy beds, spotless spaces, fresh air, and soft, warm showers. Our bakery provides delicious, wholesome treats, including gluten-, dairy- and grain-free mini breads and cookies, available for purchase online for fulfillment.
Each room includes a simple breakfast with tea, instant coffee, instant oatmeal, and fresh fruit. For your convenience, amenities include a mini fridge, microwave, electric kettle, hair dryer, iron, closet, and a secure door lock.
The home features a whole-house water filtration system, a covered outdoor back deck, air filtration systems, and inviting common areas for reading, playing games, or enjoying meals.
Centrally located, Brown Bunny is just minutes from Tampa, St. Petersburg, Clearwater, and Downtown Bradenton—home to Pier 22, the Downtown Farmers' Market, and the scenic Riverwalk. Nearby attractions include Snead Island, Emerson Point Preserve, and GT Bray Recreational Center, which boasts 20 pickleball courts, yoga classes, and a large gym facility. You’ll also find various Manatee County parks, as well as the vibrant farmers' markets in downtown Bradenton and Sarasota, held every Saturday morning.
For beach lovers, Anna Maria Island, Holmes Beach, and Coquina Beach are just a short drive away, with Sarasota’s Lido Key and Siesta Key Beaches also within easy reach. There's no shortage of fun activities to explore in the area!
Please note that a friendly young cat resides on the property in a separate wing with the host/owner. While the room is meticulously clean, guests with allergies may want to consider other beautiful accommodations nearby.
