Enjoy the ease of a private bathroom for each bedroom (including the bunk area), al fresco meals out on the balcony, and beautiful amenities at the Tidewater Beach Resort that include free seasonal beach service, indoor and outdoor pools, hot tubs, an arcade, and a fitness center with a Roman spa.

This resort property sits three-quarters of a mile west of Pier Park, where you'll find 124 stores, excellent restaurants, a Grand IMAX movie theater, and the Aaron Bessant Amphitheater (the host of the Seabreeze Jazz Festival, Unwined, and a summer concert series). Take your pick of local restaurants, including Bayou on the Beach, Firefly, Sandbar Seafood & BBQ Joint, and Shuckums Oyster Pub & Seafood Grill, and nearby attractions, such as Gulf World Marine Park (one mile east), Hidden Lagoon Super Race Track and Golf (two miles east), and Shipwreck Island Waterpark (four miles east).

We loved our condo and the weather was great. Our only complaint is toddlers and kids in the hot tubs. There is a sign posted stating no kids under 18 without adult supervision but there is no one around to enforce the rules. During our 8 day stay we were only able to use the hot tub one time and only stayed in it for a few minutes from kids splashing. Hot tubs should be off limits for kids period. Put in an adult area where you have to be 21 with an ID. Please.

Unorganized mess
They have an entire hotel all checking in at 4pm. Which jambs all the elevators super bad, people standing waiting, some were for over half hour. They send a text for us to say when we check out, why can't they clean then and once clean notify the renters once completed so they can check in to eliminate the mad unorganized rush of chaos. The beach is so crowded with several rows of hotel beach chairs for you to rent. Unless your room comes with those but most likely they will be located in the back...lol. The room was roomy and clean.

I'm only guessing that checking in was a different experience here at Tidewater! Having to pay an additional fee for registration and having to actually have a rude incounter with guest services was a no for me! Cleanliness exceeded expectations!! Safety and Sanitation was a big priority on this property and I truly appreciated that experience

Overall a great stay.
Overall a great stay. Check ended up fine but it was a little confusing at first. There was a huge line and very confusing on where to go as different lines were for different types of check ins. So I just stood in the line I thought was best. Luckily someone made an announcement that let me know I was supposed to check in on the ground floor. Once I got there check in was smooth and fast. The room wasn’t ready. I walked in on the cleaners. I had to wait 10 minutes for them to finish. Thankfully they let me put my bags of ice in the freezer while we waited. Once we got in things were fine. We had an issue with one the bathroom sink being 100% clogged. We did call but no one was ever sent to fix it. But, we made it work by using the other sinks. We didn’t really want to spend our time waiting on a maintenance person. Everything else worked fine. The elevators were very slow. But if you will use some of the less used elevators they do go faster. Early morning they are fine and evenings are not bad. But 9am and 4:30pm they do get clogged up. But again, there are elevators that aren’t used as much and will go faster. Everyone seems to flood to the same ones. But just walk down to another set and try. It usually works. I did use the gym several times. It has everything you need. I mainly used the dumbbells. The treadmills amd rower need a little tlc. But it’s a huge gym with lots of equipment and machines. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked with everything you need to prepare meals and snacks. Grilling area was nice but it’s right by the trash shoot which is odd and sometimes a little smelly. It’s a great location and can walk most places which I recommend doing if possible.

Not enough functioning elevators on the property. Food places on the property closed too early.
Room was not clean enough. Not enough paper products, trash bags, and dishwasher soap left in the room for guests staying more than two days. Someone vomited in the walkover and it was not cleaned up very well - had to smell it every trip out and back in.
