There were to many steps to go up and down with all our luggage. We asked for a few items and it took sometime to get them. They didn’t have any cooking pans for us to use. We wanted to make spaghetti one night in the room. The girls at the front office were kinda rude. The outside pool closed at 8pm!

The property is an older property that has been updated. This property was very affordable and our room was clean. They staff worked to keep the property clean and tidy. The pool was nice and it was right on the beach. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I have just one note, there were not any closets in the rooms my family purchased. There was a chester drawer.

We got a kitchenette room, NO dishes, bowls, silverware. We had to go to the office several times. Minimal towels. One bed was ok, but the other was terrible. You'd slip off of it if you weren't careful. NO elevator's!!! Only 2 carts to take things to your room

All in all a pretty good value in a good area for eating and entertainment. The hotel does have a little renovation going on a couple a rooms at a time I noticed. The grounds are pretty well kept and pool and rec area were clean and comfortable. Only complaint is that the room could have been a little cleaner as far as a few hairs left in the shower and previous guests had left their fridge/freezer garbage in a bag on balcony by the door that cleaning staff missed. In all the place is pretty good value and the wife and I will return there on next trip to PC Beach area.

Clean, quiet, helpful staff, free parking with rooms directly on the beach. The breakfast and lunch offered at the poolside bar helpful, and my kids had fun playing the over sized chess game set out.

My husband and I were there for a 2 day visit Tues-Thursday. It is a charming older hotel. We had a beach facing room with a fabulous view. Nothing fancy at all, bull all you need and comfortable and clean. Yes, there is sand everywhere, but it is beachfront! We loved our stay and will definitely return.

It was dirty, stayed 3 nights and no one came for dirty towels and couldn’t get the front desk to answer the phone to ask for more. Had to keep asking and the last night we had to wait for them to wash some. Every single towel had what looked like self tanning lotion stains all over them…I hope. Also had a few dead bugs in the floor and on the last night watched a roach scurry across the nightstand from the bed. We stayed once last year right after they re-opened and had no problems. Which is why we stayed there again. We won’t be doing that again.

Location is great

Location, location, location. This property is right on the beach as stated. The facility is old but okay condition and pretty clean. the back door is the private patio overlooking the beach, perfect for seeing sunset. Just remember the facility is old.

You get what you pay for. For reference, We have stayed at all the hotels around this one over 25 years and this one is about 1/4 of the cost of the ones we love. The chateau is basic. You get no cleaning. The rooms are just above disgusting as far as cleanliness. The staff doesn’t care. The pool light is out and the pool is closed by 8pm by law. The shower head is 5 feet off the ground and is incredibly small and slippery. The toilet didn’t flush. The refrigerator took a few days to get cold. There was sand everywhere. Having said that. If you get all your towels and wash cloths from the front desk ahead of time for the next few days… you are ok with not having a pool after 8pm, and literally only need access to the beach and a roof over your head for 1/4 the price of a decent place, the chateau works. I would not bring families here. But for a very basic roof over your head while on a quick vacation at a very cheap price, it got the job done. Just match your expectations to being on the beach for that price. Also, I am in the process of fomenting an insurrection regarding the fees at these hotels. ;) but I digress. The chateau is cheap, dirty and not well maintained. But it is cheap. Pick your poison.

Bring bug spray

I booked a room with a kitchen. The rooms look remodeled and clean at first. Then the bugs started moving!! Roaches everywhere!! And small black bugs that the maintenance guy called German Roaches! They moved us from the first room at 10:30 at night because my husband took some of the bugs we had killing to the front desk after we had used a whole can of roach spray. The second room didn’t have as many but they were still to come in the door. The price was good and the view but the bugs are not with it!!

What a dump!!! They should remove the word resort from the name of this hotel. It is certainly not a resort! Our room wasn't as clean as it should have been and the bathroom had a sewage smell the entire time. I had to flush the toilet several time just to get paper to go down. The maid never once came to our room to clean or bring towels or any other toiletries. We had to hunt down bath towels and anything else we needed. They have a ice machine that you have to pay for and it was broken most of the time I was there. The entire property is old, dirty and hasn't been taken care of very well! Also, I believe this place may have roaches. I don't mean Florida bugs but roaches some has packed in with them from their home! The pool is small and was green the entire time we were there. There was rarely ever pool towels and the ones you could find were thin and old. There are not enough chairs in the pool area for the amount of people staying in the hotel. There is a pool bar that makes decent drinks but they're very expensive and the pool atmosphere is not conducive to hanging around the pool to enjoy your drink! Also, the showers to wash sand off didn't work very well and no one bothered to clean the sand up. The beach location is great and is walking distance of the pier and other amenities. The restaurant next door Harpoon Harry's is delicious! There is a Hooter's next door to Harry's and both are within walking distance. Overall I would not come back

The room itself was decent especially for the price..we were in the second level with an adorable outdoor game area. The room was poorly cleaned with no toilet paper and sand all over the floor. I was unable to reach anyone by phone in either housekeeping or at the front desk. When I went to the front desk to let them know there was an issue I was handed a roll of toilet paper and a broom…the hotel itself is obviously an older building and that is reflected in the price of the room. The location was fabulous and I can’t imagine getting another room so close to the beach in this price range. Overall I would stay again..I definitely felt safe and we barely spend time in our room anyway..it’s mainly a place to sleep, shower and change clothes. I would definitely go back but will probably bring my own cleaning supplies next time around!

I loved the layout and all the fun things to do but I didn’t like that the pool closed at dark and the bar closes pretty early but other than that it was a great stay!!
