Hôtel Aurore is an unpretentious 3-star hotel. It meets the basics well, with a lift serving all floors, and air-conditioned rooms. About 5 minutes walk from the entrance to Gare de Lyon, finding it isn't too difficult: Rue Traversière is a short street, with Hôtel Aurore pretty much in the middle. It's good that every floor by the lift has a water cooler, but only the one in reception is actually plugged in, to give chilled water. The plants in the trough on the outside of the hotel look as if they died through neglect a long time ago. Reception appears to be manned into the evening. Plenty of bars and bistros nearby. If you need a bed for a couple of nights in this part of Paris, you could do a lot worse. I found on Expedia that the price jumped around a lot - August 2024.

Went for the Olympics & flight got cancelled so rang the hotel to let them know I’d be a day late & not to let my room go. That was all taken care of. Good location literally 5 minutes from the Gare de Lyon station. Plenty of cafes, pubs & restaurants very close by. Staff were all very good.

Comfortable and decent hotel for a good price, no thrills. Less than 5 minutes away from Gare de Lyon, with at least 3 bakeries nearby (they were open before 7am). Perfect for a one night stay before an early train. Great for a stroll to Bastille. I appreciated the vanity kit provided.

We had two rooms. The room on level 3 was fine. The room on level zero was a handicap room with an open shower. There was no way to prevent the water from flooding the rest of the bathroom. There also was mold on the bathroom ceiling, most likely due to it always being wet. Otherwise the room was fine.

We wanted a place to stay that was close to Gare De Lyon station becase we had an early train to take. This hotel was perfect for that; only a 4-minute walk to station with luggage. Staff was very accomodating and room was clean and comfortable. It was a little hard to find and needed directions as signage is a bit small.

We felt safe and the housekeeping was amazing! It is an extremely clean, friendly, and comfortable place to stay! I dont think that the desk staff could be more hospitable, and there was always someone at the desk. And the air conditioning was super cold! Loved it!

The hotel's front desk is staffed with English speakers which was helpful. The hotel is about a 7 minute walk from Gare de Lyon which was a plus. The rooms are small but clean, comfortable and quiet (you are in the city of Paris so there are sirens periodically). There is a selection of boulangeries, cafes and restaurants nearby.

as good as it gets at this price range. excellent location right on top of all the tourist sites. small,clean,well equipped rooms,friendly staff. shops,restaurants,supermarket,bakery right outside. 1 hour from CDG airport.
