The layout of the hotel is a bit strange and the lobby/stairs had an odd smell but the rooms were well maintained and clean and the staff was very nice and helpful.

The hotel and the rooms are totally wore down and minuscule. Despite the hotel’s excellent location in the center of Paris, it was a very poor experience and we looked at other alternatives during the trip.

All about location…
Accommodating and friendly service in a convenient location, walkable to centrally located sites and transit. Overall condition of the hotel is a bit tired, and the Wi-Fi service is spotty. Bed was comfortable, and the room included an oscillating fan.

The folks at Reception were excellent, including the one who prepared my wife a simple meal after we arrived much later than expected (at night) with which she had to take meds. Great location. Room was basic but had everything we needed - except the WiFi, which was difficult and slow. Again, the staff was very accommodating.

Carpet every where and dirty toilet seats.We ask the front desk to have it cleaned up and they said they would send someone. They never came. The receptionist rebudle was that they have a manager that check after the cleaning staff and it was impossible tthat it would be dirty... eventhough we had pictures. Which means that the cleaning staff incompetent, the manager is incompetent and the receptionist is incompetent in addition to be rude and calling its customers liars! It's a shame

The pictures must be of rooms that we were not offered. It felt low budget, dirty floors, no AC and the elevator was broken. But centrally located and staff was kind enough.

The Hotel Victoria Chatelet is in a great location for sightseeing in Paris!!! It is near to numerous attractions, the Seine is only two blocks away, a metro station is right there, and many restaurants and shops are nearby. We cannot say enough about the helpfulness and friendliness of the staff. They were very welcoming!! The rooms were clean and cleaned daily. The hotel is not fancy or new and the hallways are very narrow. These are just facts not negative points. We were the type of tourists who were up early, gone all day, and returned back late in the evening to fall asleep immediately to begin again the next day. This is the perfect hotel for that type of trip.

If you are 20 and plan to party all night this place has great location but overlooks construction and 2 VERY LOUD bars Police came after 1 AM But there is no air conditioning so have to open windows with all noise coming in Just NOT that inexpensive for condensations Expedia should warn customers about noise!!! Elevator not working Bathroom and shower TINY! Staff very nice but might have slept better at the airport!!
