Quiet location but an enjoyable walk by the Tweed will take you to Peebles or Innerleithen.

Covid procedures were lacking. Swimming pool max numbers were not being followed - over 35 in the pool area and staff unhelpful when reported. Self service bar idea resulting in large queue in the lounge, advised would bring over drinks long wait no drinks appeared therefore had to go back up to bar were the drinks were sitting waiting on us. No table service as advised by law. Breakfast no one way system etc - small area for continental items and no covid procedures in place. Shared jam pots etc which felt unsafe. Overall lack of covid procedures and staff helpfulness left us disappointed with our stay. Hotel location and facilities good however during this period I would like to feel like the hotel was on high alert with there covid procedures and it was definitely poor.

The hotel was nice and the restaurant was excellent but the room i was alocated was very poor room 203 the carpet was very poor condition and did not have a nice smell my wife would not walk on it without shoes !! We complained to the reception but were not offerred any re-imburcement or were not offered alternative accomodation. we showed the receptionist the room and what our issues were.
