Situated beside a wooded glade at the edge of the small peaceful village of Stackpole, Pembrokeshire, Leyland House is a comfortable, stylishly furnished and decorated cottage. The lounge is cosy and welcoming and benefits from a log burner along with two 2-seater sofas and a smart TV. There are wooden floorboards throughout with a separate dining room (dining table seats 8) and a well equipped, modern kitchen (hob, oven, microwave, fridge freezer and dishwasher). There is a separate utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer. The cottage is tastefully decorated and has a welcoming atmosphere. There is a sheltered, decked courtyard for al fresco dining & a large detached garden which is reached via a private footpath. The cottage sleeps 4 & accommodates up to 2 dogs.
Stackpole village has an award winning foodie pub (The Stackpole Inn) with both bar, restaurant & beer garden. Dogs are welcomed in the bar and beer garden. The pub is approximately a three minute walk from the cottage.
The Stackpole Estate has 2000 acres (N.T.) of outstanding natural beauty, part SSSI and part National Nature Reserve & is a spectacular landscape and coastline rich in wildlife (otters, wildfowl, cliff nesting seabirds) with footpaths linking lakes, woods, cliffs, sand dunes and limestone grassland. The cottage is within 1 mile of the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path, Stackpole Quay, Barafundle Bay and Bosherston Lily Ponds. All can be reached on foot from the front door via paths through fields and woodland. A short drive takes in the beaches at Broadhaven South & the surfer's paradise at Freshwater West as well as local them parks Heatherton, Manor Farm and Folly Farm.
