Awful booked a double bed and 2 singles we got 2 singles and bunk beds had a 5 and 3 year old window in front off bunk beds not safe hotel couldint give us a different room till next day

It’s a very old building so you’d expect the floors to be uneven and decor a bit faded but it’s pretty shabby. Noise from generator below our window was annoying. It’s interesting from a historic point of view and it’s in a good location for visiting the city but that’s all really.

Great value. Very friendly staff
I was checked in by Colin who is by far the most friendly, helpful hotel staff have experienced for decades. Nothing was too much trouble and he treated my dog with such kindness and interest. He couldn’t have been more welcoming or friendly. My only small grumbles are that the bathroom shelf tilted towards the ground rather easily and that the room hasn’t been spring cleaned for a while. Other than that the staff couldn’t have been kinder and more polite

Lighting in room was a bit dim. Yes it is a really old location, but having a dodgy knee having to use stairs (as well as the lift) wasn't fun. overall thoguh, great venue

Extremely noisy walls paper thin being woke up at 2.30 AM with drunks coming into the hotel then at 6 AM by screaming kids doors slamming etc Horrific in all honesty Staff really lovely though
