Lovely clean accomodation on the edge of town, but what really makes it special is the staff, extremely helpful and pleasant, felt like i had made new friends, lots of advice on the local area when asked, meals were good and the atmosphere of the bar area felt like i was in my local and always made welcome.

Good size room and good price
The room was a good size. There was a kettle and plenty of tea, coffee and milk. The bed was comfortable and there were four pillows of different sizes. It was quiet. The price was really good and the cheapest in the area.

We stayed for 2 nights, the room was nice and comfortable. As is the norm in hotels there wasnt enough milk, tea, coffee and sugar in the room. The restaurant was a different story. The staff were lovely and very polite, price was good but service was lacking. We had a meal on the Friday evening and half of it was cold (they did make fresh (hot) chips for us though). Breakfast on the Saturday morning was a bit of a challenge, nothing was right - wrong item served and one of us had to wait 15 minutes for their omlette. We had booked a table for the Saturday for my friends birthday but decided to cancel the table and we thought Weatherspoons was a better option. I'd stay at the hotel but wouldn't eat at restaurant again - very disappointing.
