**Important things to know about Cardinal Home**
》Shares a driveway with the casita on the property, which could be occupied when you rent. Please respect the other’s privacy.
》Remote property without many stores. Plan accordingly. There’s a Walgreens nearby; however, a grocery store is 20+ minutes away.
》Located on a dirt road. Expect a little bit of dust.
》Food delivery is sparse; however, a few places deliver on UberEats
》You'll need a car to get around. Uber and Lyft are difficult here.
》Pest control sprays the home monthly with non-toxic, environmentally friendly chemicals to help keep the bugs away.
》We’re preparing for a full remodel in the near future. In the meantime, allow us to share our home with its imperfections and a handful of outdated features (albeit charming). The home is plenty comfortable and functional for your stay.

Guest Access:
Guests have access to the entire home. Only the garage and the master bedroom closet are locked and off-limits.

The Neighborhood:
The home is on a dirt road with a charming desert vibe! It's about 35 minutes from North Scottsdale’s restaurants & shops. The location is special as it's surrounded by nature, endless hikes on beautiful trails, and provides lots of privacy! It’s a wonderful opportunity to disconnect, enjoy tranquility, and be away from it all.

Getting Around:
The home is 37 miles | 60 km (about a 40-min drive) from the Phoenix Airport (PHX) and 18.6 miles | 30 km (about a 30-min drive) from the Scottsdale Airport (SCF). Check your mobile map apps when you arrive, as driving times vary based on the time of day. You’ll need a car to get around, as Uber and Lyft ride services are difficult to get from the property.

Other Things to Note:
STATE LAW STRICTLY PROHIBITS PARTIES/EVENTS. The city of Scottsdale has quiet hours from 10 pm to 8 am to respect the neighbors. The home is outfitted with NoiseAware (that measures volume decibels; does not record) which notifies us when noise levels at the home exceed a set limit. Violating noise ordinances is an initial $500 fine.

We use SUPERHOG for guest screening. Your SUPERHOG application must match the primary guest on the reservation, and the background check must be completed within 48 hours of receiving your booking confirmation, per State and City law. Your booking is NOT confirmed until these requirements are fulfilled. Once the reservation is confirmed, and prior to check-in, guests must sign a Rental Agreement stating that they agree to 1) abide by our rental terms and conditions; 2) provide a copy of a valid government-issued ID and matching credit card prior to check-in; and 3) pay a non-refundable damage waiver of $50 via SUPERHOG, which covers you for any accidental damage during your stay. Please look out for SuperHog to contact you for next steps!

The cleaning fee is pass-through, meaning the entire amount goes to our cleaning team! We partner with Well & Good and pay more than the average rate to guarantee a clean and safe environment for our guests. W&G Promises: 1) Professional Cleaners (trained & certified) 2) Offsite Laundering like fresh hotel linens & 3) Guest Essentials: luxury soaps and more. If you'd like a mid-stay cleaning, please let us know.

The landscaper visits the property every Tuesday.

HOUSE RULES:
- Travelers must be at least 25 years of age or older to book.
- Children are only allowed with these stipulations 1) Guests are responsible for any and all necessary 'child-proofing' & 2) Children under age 13 must be supervised by an adult at all times. The pool does not have a fence or cover, so it’s not safe for children who are unable to swim or without supervision at all times.
- Primary guest on the reservation must stay at the rental property.
- Guests might be required to present an official ID at check-in or during the stay.
- Locals, contact us before booking. Instabook is not available if coming within 4 hours of Scottsdale.
- Max occupancy is 4. Day visitors are ok but must not stay overnight. There is a $250 per person fine for overnight guests over the max occupancy. You must obtain written approval for visitors.
- No smoking of any kind inside the home! Failure to comply is a $2,500 fine if damage to furniture or any smoking odor is detected.
- Recreational drug use or illegal activity at the property is strictly prohibited. Failure to comply is a $300 fine.
- Renters agree to cover any cost related to damages that occurred during their stay, including extra-cleaning charges if needed or any unauthorized pets if discovered within a reasonable amount of time after their stay. These amounts are charged to the credit card on file and followed by an email breaking down the fees and damages. No charges are ever processed without prior written notice. The minimum fine for damages is $500.
- Dog-friendly property (max 2 dogs) with prior authorization only, and a pet fee applies. Must clean up after your dog or incur a $150 additional cleaning fee.
- Cleaning service is available at an extra cost. Let us know in advance to book it.
- For stays of 25 nights or longer, there is a mandatory mid-stay cleaning that's complimentary. Our team will contact you during your stay to coordinate the best day to do it.
- No mail service. Packages can be delivered to the doorstep; access to the mailbox is not available.
- The home is on well water with a septic tank. All pipes lead to the septic tank. Please follow these basic rules, as fees apply if we need to repair the tank. 1) Never flush anything other than toilet paper. NOT EVEN flushable wipes. 2) Use the trash for all waste disposal. Food debris, cooking oil, fats, grease, coffee grounds, etc., go in the trash, not in the sink disposal. 3) Avoid using any harsh chemicals.
- Arizona has a severe water shortage. Please help by taking shorter showers and loading up the washing machine before running a load.
- There are front-door and side-gate surveillance cameras strictly for security & guest safety.
- The Homeowner is not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illnesses that occur while on the premises or for the loss of a guest's personal belongings or valuables. By accepting this reservation, guests agree to assume all risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premises.

Interaction with Guests:
The home uses a Smart Lock keyless entry where you can check yourself in using the electronic door code.
You’ll have complete privacy during your stay, but we’re available 7 days a week. Should you need anything, just send us a message.
