The check in process was unconventional. Be aware. There is no one on the premises to help you. Everything is done by text and e mail. I thought they had free parking but it ended up charging me $10 a night. The free breakfast is a joke. Coffee and a packaged waffle is not a breakfast. We had long black hair stuck to the wall of our shower. Disgusting. The one bright stop is there was a bidet on the toilet. I wish all hotels would do that.

The hotel room was nice homey and simple. It seemed to have modern appliances and overall was well. However the area the property was located in, seemed to be unsafe and a sketchy place to be around. With that said there was appropriate security measures in place to help counteract that and make you more comfortable. However when you are in the room door closed and all you can hear all of the conversations around you outside and even hear a little of the rooms next to you which wasn’t the worst but made it feel less private. The cleaning of the room could’ve definitely been more thorough. The shower did not seem completely clean and you could certainly see the dirt and or grime that was missed. Upon arrival I went to unpack my bags and put them in drawers as you do and noticed that one of them was not clean and so dirty it was unusable. As you walked into the room it had a very particular and unpleasant smell it wasn’t so bad that it was a large inconvenience but it was there and it was not great. There was also an issue with parking. There is nothing I was made aware you could do if your assigned spot was taken by someone else which forces you to park elsewhere which is a major inconvenience that I personally dealt with. All in all the stay I had was definitely great but could be improved. if the cleaning was improved as well as the smell of the room it would make it more of a comfortable stay. To have a clear solution to the parking situation would have been nice as well.

Check in was a total gong show. Asked them to email the instructions not text them, as text would not work. Of course they texted them, so I never received the instructions until I returned home. Then the next morning the door lock battery failed, and with no front desk to rectify, I was locked out of my room. Figure out your check in process so it isn’t totally reliant on the customers phone.

Check in was very confusing way too many emails and not enough direction, property claimed breakfast was available luke warm coffee and a package waffle that was supposed to be frozen then cooked is not a breakfast. Rooms were not bad but they do not send emails regarding parking and other amenities until after check in too late by then to change your mind.

Quaint motel that is gated entry with modern retro vibe. Very clean and quiet, we really enjoyed the area and stay. Convenient to get to all areas of Scottsdale/Tempe etc. feast response from staff, easy parking even though you pay no worry about finding a spot. Would definitely stay here again!

Parking was an additional $10 a day! Never in my life has a hotel charged extra to park. Absolutely absurd. The continental breakfast was a disgusting tiny packaged waffle and coffee. The room we stayed at was next to a gate that continually blew around in the wind and made a bunch of noise throughout the night. The air conditioner would run for a couple minutes and then shut off for about 20 seconds and then turn on again making it very distracting to sleep. There was no TV service and you had to use your personal streaming services. No staff on hand, just a robot.

NOT for Most Travelers NO sheets on arrival

I waited a week to write this review to ensure I could provide an objective account of my experience. My stay at the Papago Hotel in Phoenix was disappointing and concerning on many levels. Booking Experience I booked this hotel through Hotels.com, as I often do, and was shocked to learn after the free cancellation period had passed that I was required to provide the following: A copy of my driver’s license (front and back) A selfie My car license plate information A $200 hold on my credit card A $30 cleaning fee These requirements were not disclosed prior to booking. Had they been, I would NEVER have chosen this property. As a woman traveler I was particularly uneasy about providing such sensitive information, especially without a clear privacy policy outlining how it would be stored or protected. This raised serious concerns about data security and potential identity theft. When I contacted Hotels.com to cancel, I was informed that the cancellation policy was 100% of the booking cost, as the free cancellation window had closed six days prior to my stay. This left me with no viable option but to comply, even though I was uncomfortable with their demands. Arrival and Parking Upon arrival, I was informed of an additional $10 per day parking fee for an unsecured, open lot adjacent to the street. A quick online search revealed free parking was available just steps away in an alley. This lack of transparency felt deceptive. Additionally, the parking lot offered no security
