This property hosts an optional New Year's Eve gala dinner for guests staying on December 31, 2024. Guests who wish to attend must book the gala dinner at least 7 days in advance. At first glance, this is a five star resort. Gorgeous views and incredible attention to detail in the landscape, rooms, and pool areas. But, only two restaurants open (and they are basically the same restaurant as they operate off the same menu.) And parts of resort are either closed or under repair. It’s monsoon season so that could be part of the reason for closures however it would’ve been nice to have a bar by the infinity pool and a restaurant up there too. Rain was not a problem, but we would advise staying up in hotel four for convenience to breakfast and infinity pool. Prices are what you would expect at a resort, but you are 100 m down the beach from several local shops, spas and restaurants. Yoga and Thai dance classes were great!

We stayed at Santhiya for five nights for our honeymoon and had an incredible stay. The view from our room was breathtaking and the resort was stunningly beautiful. The staff were friendly and helpful and we very much enjoyed the fire show on the beach. It was also very easy to walk to the nearby town for some local restaurants and tours. Paradise! We stayed for 4 nights in a sea view room in hotel 5, which was conveniently right above one of the resturants and pools. Very well run resort, staff were friendly and helpful. Trucks that take you up and down the hill are frequent and very handy. The breakfast buffet was huge, with entertainment at certain times. There were daytrips to go on, we did the snorkling trip to Phi phi islands, the snorkling was amazing! Part of the trip was a quick stop at the main town on Phi Phi and it was absolute madness, so crowded, we were SO happy we made the decision to stay at Santhiya instead of that island. Also the beach massage and the spa facility is lovely, some of the best massages we've had. My only note would be that you could hear the music from the resturant below from our room upstairs, so maybe not ideal if you like peace & quiet in the afternoons, but there other buildings to stay in if thats not for you. Also some of the chairs & loungers needed repairs, but there were staff everywhere doing maintenance so perhaps it was on their list. Overall highly reccommend!! We were so sad to leave!!

I really like the view and this rustic part but really disappointed before arriving at the hotel i was not prepared that I should pay the boat to get to the hotel normally it should have been automatically included in the package. The services was slow. Breakfast was included but I didn't even get the time to have it because you have to be in a hurry to get the boat to checkout because they didn't take the time to wait for you. It was a worst and stressful stay in this hotel that I had in my life. Will definitely get back to phuket for the nature and the culture but never again in this hotel.

If you want to temporarily exit the busy life in the city and need to relax your soul and mind this is the perfect place to be. Santhiya Koh Yao Yai is like a hidden paradise. From the moment you set foot in the island you are greeted by the most friendliest staff and crew. We had the time of our lives there. Island hopping, private thai massage, grand breakfast buffet and relaxing views at the villa. Wish we could stay a little bit longer because they offer more for the customers like yoga classes and muai thai. Beautiful place to stay. Maybe we'll come back pretty soon with friends.

Truly spectacularly beautiful and unique resort. If you’re looking for an island paradise, you have found it. There is only one draw back that you must consider in arranging any and all transportation for anything off the resort or island, and that is: the transportation! If you decide to do any type of activity off the resort or island, then transportation becomes a huge issue. Limited resort boat transportation, which means you will have to take private boat transportation arranged by the resort and at a cost. So, if you decide to come here, then do yourself a favor, and stay on the resort. It is well worth it. However m, if you want to venture off the property and explore the surroundings, then give it a second thought as convenient transportation is lacking. The resort itself is spectacular!
