We have family in Arrowhead and are very familiar with the area and how things work. Prior to booking, I had told the owner this. To get in the community as a renter, the owner needs to give your information to Arrowhead 3 days in advance. I gave our info to the owner a week in advance. When we went to the rental office to get our gate pass, they had none of our information and told us the owner didnt call us in. We had called the owner to let her know we couldnt get our one vehicle in and that Arrowhead said even if she did call us in right then, we still would have to wait until the NEXT DAY to get our gate pass. Fortunately, I have family in the community and we were able to eventually get in. However, If we had no family here we would have been stranded or had to search for a hotel. The owner was not at all apologetic or concerned with this. It took hours for us to be able to get the other car in the community because it was a very busy weekend.
Overall, my experience with the owner throughout the weekend and the communication really made the weekend disappointing.
FYI - the owner has security cameras on the property and doesnt disclose on the property details. I have nothing to hide, but its a little uncomfortable when I’m playing outside with my children at the thought of someone staring at us… but hey maybe thats just me.
