Very good, clean, well equipped, quiet. Nice area with easy access to lots of chateaux etc. only suggestion is for better/more indoor seating there is only the sofa, fine for 2 but limited fir 4 people.

Perfect small retreat
Tastefully decorated and well equipped small gite. It is ideal for two adults, although would be a little cramped for four. The garden is large and has areas of sunshine and shade all day so it was perfect during the heat of the day. The availability of two bikes made trips to the local boulangerie first thing in the morning very easy. A particular bonus for us was a garden fence which was genuinely completely secure so that our very determined little fox terrier could find no escape route.

Great location for a relaxed holiday
The property has all the charm you would expect from a rural gite but it is very modern and well equipped. The interior has been very well thought out to maximise the use of space and comfort for guests. The shower and bathroom were excellent. The outside space and wonderful views afforded in this lovely location really added to our enjoyment of staying in this area. The local village and shops are within easy walking distance. It was a great base to explore this beautiful area of France. The owner was extremely friendly and helpful, providing us with a pot of delicious fresh local honey from their own bees. Lovely gite! Very comfortable, very secluded.
Had a really great stay at this cosy little gite! Everything you needed was there and very modern. The owner was very Nice very helpful despite the language barrier. Very secluded and peaceful. Would deffinatley come again!

Excellent first visit to the Loire in lovely little house
We chose Pontleroy at random to visit the Loire for the first time . The house was very well equipped and renovated to a high standard . Extremely clean and comfortable - good central location to explore - we visited Blois , Chambord , Chenonceaux and Montresor . The owner kindly met us at the property and we managed easily with a little English and French conversation. The cottage is about 15 min walk to the village centre with shop and restaurant and bakers . We visited Jose Marteau vineyards at Thessay to taste wine and were made very welcome there.

Perfect quiet country location for visiting castles, gardens and towns in the area. The cottage was exceptionally clean and we'll appointed for tenants. The owners are very accommodating and friendly. Loved our stay and would definitely return again.

Lovely base to explore from
Lovely little cottage, newly renovated with style and great facilities and immaculately clean. We were met by our host at an agreed time and we had no trouble finding it with the help of our GPS. Though we spoke no French we were all able to make ourselves understood (with some help from Google translate). It was wonderful to be surrounded by French countryside. There are two bikes that can be used to ride around which was very quaint. Sitting in the garden was very relaxing. Pontlevoy is a nice little rural village and just 2 minute drive from the cottage. It is about 20 minutes to drive to Cheverney and 20 minutes to Chenonceau Chateau so this is a good mid point location. Beauval Zoo, also nearby is amazing and a nice change for the kids who quickly grew weary of Chateau's.

Une maison très accueillante
Une petite maison isolée très agréable, avec les commerces très proche. Permets une réelle déconnexion. Bien équipée et agréablement décorée. Pour visiter tout est à proximité (châteaux, zoo de Beauval). Une maison très chaleureuse où nous nous sommes régalés d'y séjourner. Je recommande vraiment.

Excellent séjour.
Très bon gîte dans un environnement d'un calme luxueux (vous êtes entouré par des champs), dans lequel rien ne manque pour passer un superbe séjour. Idéalement situé à égales distances des châteaux de Chenonceaux et Cheverny, soit une vingtaine de km. Le château de Chambord se trouve quant à lui, à une quarantaine de km. Le zoo de Beauval est à moins d'une vingtaine de km. Si je décidais de refaire les châteaux de la Loire, ce serait avec grand plaisir que je retournerai dans ce gîte.

Een prima verblijf in deze Gite gehad. Zeer uitgebreide inventaris. Alles wat je nodig hebt is aanwezig. Gite was mooi schoon. Grote tuin waar je heerlijk kon zitten in schaduw of zon. Wij hebben een geweldige week gehad.

Location idéale pour la visite des châteaux !
Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans cette charmante maison en pierre très bien rénovée et très bien équipée, située dans un endroit très calme.De plus cette location est idéalement située pour la visite des plus grands châteaux ainsi que le zoo de Beauval. Je recommande!
