This delightful bungalow is ideally located to explore Loch Lomond, the Trossachs, the islands of Cumbrae, Arran and the Isle of Bute. Ferries run to Dunoon and the Cowal Peninsula, which is known as Argyll’s Secret Coast. Head south into Ayrshire with its varying coastline, villages, beaches and rocky coves to explore, with Skelmorlie heralding the start of the Ayrshire Coastal Path, a 100-mile long coastal walk. Inland there is walking, cycling, gardens and castles to visit, racing and a choice of golf courses, including the world famous open venues of Troon, Prestwick and Turnberry.
With wonderful views over Dumbarton Rock and Castle on the River Clyde, and within walking distance of the charming local pub/restaurant, this property is ideally located for exploring the surrounding area. This detached bungalow, situated in the village of Langbank near Port Glasgow, has excellent train links to the cosmopolitan city of Glasgow, just 19 miles away, with museums, gardens, art galleries and superb shopping, restaurants, entertainment and nightlife. Glencairn Road lies only 20 miles from Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park, which is one of Scotland’s most picturesque areas with excellent outdoor activities to be enjoyed including walking, cycling, golf, fishing, pony trekking and water sports. Visit the Trossachs Discovery Centre to learn more about this exciting area, or enjoy a cruise on the stunning Loch Lomond. Stirling - with its ancient castle - is also easily accessible for a day out and well worth a trip, as is the historic city of Edinburgh. Shop 2 miles, pub and restaurant 500 yards.
