Named for W.P. Sayward, this house is not far from the original logging mill that he helped found that put Port Ludlow on the map in the 1850s. It's a gracious home on a quiet and friendly cul-de-sac, waiting for you to settle in for a long stay with family.

ABOUT SAYWARD HOUSE

Near the shore of Puget Sound, with spell-binding water views from the expansive windows of the living room, family room, main bedroom and from the second story deck, you'll revel in the generous spaces and gracious amenities of this beautiful home.

The common rooms - living, family, dining and kitchen - are all on the second floor, accessed by both stairway and elevator, making it a breeze to get upstairs. The living room and family room are served by the two-way gas fireplace, providing cozy warmth to both rooms, which also feature plush sofas, couches and recliners.

The formal dining room, adjacent to the kitchen, is perfect for family meals. The kitchen's breakfast bar will be a favorite spot - where kids will love eating their cereal and adults will enjoy being able to chat with your party's chef while dinner's being prepared. Of course, the kitchen has a full complement of appliances, including a gourmet coffee machine for morning lattes or espressos, and plenty of dinnerware, pots and pans.

A second story deck has seating for outdoor dining, plus a gas barbeque, so plan on many meals by your group's grill master. While you are here, enjoy the spectacular sun rises and the landscaped front and back yards.

MORE ABOUT SAYWARD HOUSE

With three bedrooms - two featuring king-sized beds and one with two twins - you can indulge in some seriously restful sleep. The main bedroom, on the second floor, features an ensuite bathroom, with jetted tub, perfect for soaking away the day, and separate shower.

The other two bedrooms can be found on the first floor, along with the second bath with a tub/shower combo. There's also a powder room on the second floor. Towels and linens for all baths and beds are provided.

The house also features several accommodations for the handicapped, including the elevator and grab bars in the bathrooms.

ABOUT PORT LUDLOW

The charming town of Port Ludlow is just minutes from the Sayward House and features fine dining, beautiful Victorian-styled homes and buildings that are a feast for your eyes. Plus, you'll find plenty of unique shops to explore. Port Ludlow is close to the Olympic National Park and a day trip to the park would be worth the memories.

Port Ludlow is home to one of the most scenic golf courses in the country. With wildflowers, water views, the greenery of the trees, as well as mountain views, it will be an exciting game of golf regardless of your score.

With a different type of view, there are trails all around the Port Ludlow area, including ones heading to the Ludlow Falls, a beautiful area with interpretive trails, embodying the spirit of the Pacific Northwest.

Fort Flagler is about 20 minutes away on Marrowstone Island. Once one of three forts protecting the Puget Sound, today it has a museum and camping grounds, and is a great location for Washington seaside activities such as kite flying, crabbing, and clam digging. It also has hiking and boating access.

PORT LUDLOW BEACH CLUB

An access pass to the Port Ludlow Beach Club (& pool) may be arranged for up to seven guests per booking, by contacting the manager prior to arrival and providing the names and ages of those people. Allow 24 hours for the pass to be issued.

MANAGED: This managed property needs good guest behavior and adherence to instructions, rules, terms, conditions, and requires online registration, accidental damage protection, and electronic signature before final booking confirmation, or you may cancel before proceeding at that time. Phones open 9am to 7pm every day. IF dogs area allowed, there is a quantity and weight limit, with a per-day, per-dog fee. For security, there may be outwardly facing security cameras, capable of constant recording depending on staffing. There may be interior decibel meters to report excessive noise. To allow enough time for full cleaning, check-In time is 5pm and Check-Out is 11am. Bookings over 29 days are with Prospera Property Management.
