RELAX AND RECHARGE

BEST of TIMES is a charming beach house just waiting for your special memories to be made. Featured on HGTV as a prime vacation home, it is only a short stroll to the board walk (see third photo) leading to the private, pristine beach of Cape Dunes on Cape San Blas. The large 24'x20' outdoor deck has a new and well maintained six person hot tub, table and chairs, two loungers, and swing bed for the ultimate in relaxation. Inside, the spacious, open floor plan with fully equipped kitchen, dining area that seats eight, and comfortable bedrooms truly make this a home away from home. The master suite has king size bed with private bath, bedroom #2 has queen bed with bath, and bunk room sleeps four. 55" smart TV in living room and highspeed internet will keep you closely connected to work, school, and the outside world, if you so choose.

BEST of TIMES is 1/4 of a mile to Salinas Park (new pickle ball courts, playground, kayak launch, picnic tables and boardwalk), Happy Ours Rental (bikes, kayaks, boat trips, etc. for fun activities), road-side fresh seafood markets for take-out, the famous Indian Pass Raw Bar along with many other wonderful restaurants, and three beautiful additional public beaches for great exploring adventures & beach lounging. The historic towns of Port St Joe & Apalachicola are within short driving distance, loaded with unique shops, restaurants, and sights to explore. Enjoy a spectacular day at the beach swimming, strolling, and collecting shells, rinse off in the outdoor shower, then lounge on the back deck with a cool drink until it's decided to dine in or go out! Don't miss the beautiful sunset and one of a kind star-lit night while soaking in the hot tub!

This house warmly welcomes well-behaved dogs so bring your fur baby along- s/he deserves a nice vacation, too! (Please: dogs are required to be on tick and flea preventative, they are very prevalent in this area). Cape San Blas beaches are dog friendly! Our neighborhood provides a quiet road & nice walking paths. Please keep your dog on a leash, clean up after your pet, and limit any excessive barking.

** Full Disclosure -- like most owners on the Cape, we have exterior cameras for guest safety and property security. One camera is at the front door and one underneath the house. NO violation of privacy: no interior or back deck cameras are implemented **

Quiet dog-friendly beach perfection
Let’s first talk about the deck swing. This swing is where you will spend your morning time sipping coffee.The property is super clean, inside and out.Just off the deck is a nice little grassy area perfect for the pups.This home also has a well-stocked kitchen with everything needed for the chef on your trip.But, if cooking while relaxing isn’t your thing, this home is also within a short drive of Port St. Joe restaurants (and shops).We really enjoyed the quiet community with beach access. The beach was not crowded and is dog-friendly.We were within walking distance of Salinas Park (pickleball, walking trail).The state park is within a short drive in the other direction. It was a nice visit for walking trails (also has kayak rentals, etc).Good communication is a big deal for me, and Lizzy was in contact to ensure we had everything we needed. (Thank you.)Book this home, it will not disappoint.

You won’t want to leave this wonderful beach home! The hot tub. the covered deck bed swing. The most comfortable sun loungers. And this is just the back deck!! I found my own special places for having morning coffee. Lots of different views and seating options. The home is so clean and comfy too. Then the short boardwalk to the beach and life is complete!!As a bonus you have the sweetest and most efficient hosts ever!!Also the beach chairs were much appreciated!Thanks Tony and Lizzy! We are planning our next trip:)

Great family getaway!
We stayed for a week this summer with our daughter, two nieces, and our pup. The house is very comfortable, cozy and clean and was perfect for our needs. The girls loved the bunk room! The location is great, just a short walk to the beach, and we often felt like we had the beach to ourselves! Wonderful communication from Lizzy--she is a gracious host. We would definitely return!

Great Place
Overall we had a great stay and everything was great. The only thing I would note for correction would be cleanliness and we had one roach run across the stove one night. Besides that everything was great and the host was very easy to talk to and replied very fast.

4th of July week
We love coming to Port st joe this week every year. The first time we have had two kids and it was a blast! Would recommend…walk to beach was great…only wish the community board walk was longer but that’s nothing the owners control on their own. Would highly recommend!

Best Of Times
Wonderful week at this adorable home in Port St Joe! Easy walk to beach and when you returned, a shower where you could rinse off. Great storage area for your beach chairs & umbrellas. The deck has a hot tub that everyone enjoyed. My favorite was the bed swing which was so nice to sit & read or just relax in the evening. The kitchen was fully stocked with anything you may need & the best I've ever seen! Bedrooms were spacious & beds were comfortable. Downtown Port St Joe has very cute shops & several ice cream shops we visited more times than we should have! Lizzy was so easy to work with & we will definitely stay here again! Thanks for a great week & great memories! It was the best of times! Charles & Vickey

1st Trip to Cape San Blas
We loved our stay at this cute beachy home. It was just like the pictures, Well decorated and very clean. The kitchen was the best stocked kitchen out of all the places we have stayed. It’s very well laid out and spacious. We enjoyed the hot-tub every night under the stars. It’s in the perfect quiet location with quick access to the beach.

The best vacation house ever!
This beautiful beach house more than met our expectations! The decor was sedate and calming. The kitchen was well stocked -even the junk drawer did not disappoint! Tony and Lizzy thought of everything! The outdoor porch with bed swing and hot tub was a daily favorite. The beds were so comfy and the linens were perfect! Lizzy was quick to respond to any questions I had. My two grandsons (ages 4 and 15 months) had a wonderful time in the bunk room and loved playing there when they weren't at the beach. We would stay there again in a heartbeat!

We had a great time here over Thanksgiving! 2 adults, 4 teens and our dog. Loved the location and being so close to the beach! We walked on the beach but enjoyed the bike path too and drove up the cape for ice cream! Thanks for a quiet getaway!

Beautiful home!
This was our first trip to the cape and it was absolutely wonderful. The house was perfect and beautifully decorated. It is just a short walk to the beach. The beach is in a great spot and not crowded at all. My teen boys loved fishing from the beach. We will definitely visit the Cape again!

Relaxing Vacay
Drove 14 hours from San Antonio to get some much needed respite. This place was perfect! Met our friends from Maryland to make up for a vacation we scrapped 2 years ago from COVID restrictions. Had an awesome time. The house is exactly as described! The hosts are incredibly nice people who communicated openly throughout our stay! Cape San Blas was perfect and the little community was quiet and friendly! Would stay here again...5 out of 5 stars!

Home Away From Home
This VRBO stay is one of the best we've ever had (& we've had many)! The house was comfortable, well stocked, and in a great location--just a quick drive to Port St. Joe or out to the other end of the Cape. We didn't think we'd use the hot tub (a hot tub in the South in June!?), but we got in every night! And it is so dark that you can see all the stars and, if you stay up late enough, the Milky Way. There was construction, as mentioned by previous reviewers, but we didn't find it overly intrusive while relaxing on the porch and completely inaudible when inside the house. Another highlight for us was the "bunk room". We have 2 boys and the room was perfect for them--we even set up our Spikeball set to play and had plenty of space. We brought a portable fan along, as one guest mentioned it was a bit warm up there, but we just closed the curtains at different times of the day and the boys were perfectly fine. One initially disappointing aspect, unrelated to the house itself, was the proliferation of cars on the beach--SO MANY CARS! With 2 young kids, it was nervewracking on the first day and just not really our vibe. We started going to the State Park at the end of the Cape (less than 10 min. away) which does not allow car traffic and the beaches are pristine as is the Bay which you can access from the same parking lot. Even though we loved the beach at the State Park, we would still stay in this house because of its central location, awesome owners, and just how dang lovely it was! Stay here and you will NOT regret it!

The perfect Gulf Coast getaway
This was the best VRBO rental we've ever experienced! The property and location were picture-perfect - exactly the end of year holiday getaway our family was seeking. Cape San Blas / Port St Joe is a true treasure, and this home was everything we hoped for. We are so grateful we could stay here, and hope to return in the future.

We had to child proof the house a little because we had a toddler but after that was done everything was great. It was stocked with more amenities than expected. Awesome porch and great kids room. We look forward to revisiting.

Great Location!
We really enjoyed our stay in Cape San Blas and this location. The home was very clean and provided all we needed to enjoy our stay. The kitchen was fully loaded to allow us to cook at home! The short walk to the beach was wonderful, but the location of the house was very convenient. We like that the house was not way down the road in Cape San Blas, but at the beginning. This made it nice to be able to go Port St Joe for the many delicious restaurants and the only grocery store. We played golf a couple days (only 10 minutes away)! I was surprised to learn you could drive on the beach, ride horses and have a bon fire at night! The best part of this house was probably the hot tub and the star filled nights! We are looking forward to going again!

Picturesque beach house!
We loved our stay! We stay in rentals at least 2-3x/year and this was all of our favorites by far. It’s absolutely beautiful, with plenty of space and things to do. The hot tub was so perfect, and I feel like every little detail was thought of; there were plenty of cups and bowls and plates (including some non-breakable ones!), tons of kitchen utensils (even a slow cooker!), board games, video games, books, some pantry items like sugar, tea, crackers, garlic powder, plenty of variety of salts and peppers, Cajun seasoning, etc. There was shaded parking under the house, and the washer and dryer were brand new and perfect. The only thing I could suggest is a ceiling fan in the bunk bed room; it gets a bit hot up there. It certainly wouldn’t stop me from renting again. Loved, loved, LOVED our stay.
