Such an adorable hotel! The front desk staff were so kind, and the rooms were cute and well appointed. The housekeeping staff, however, needs a bit of an improvement. Our room was never cleaned and when we initially checked in, it was obvious our room hadn’t been dusted in awhile. Not a huge deal, in the long run, but it’s unfortunate because this could be a great hotel if that one area was improved.

Bed was not comfortable and it had a dip in the middle. The room got too warm and there was no way to make the room cooler. The location was nice and the building is really unique. Amenities and staff were great.

The staff here are incredible. I believe one of the guys at the front desk was named Byron (hope I'm remembering that correctly) and he was truly so kind and helpful, as were the rest of the staff I encountered during my stay. The hotel is cool and although the area can seem a bit unpolished, it is a great area of Portland for cool bars and restaurants and super walkable. I highly recommend it!

Elegant Old Hotel
Very elegant, old-school hotel. The staff was excellent and service supreme. My room was huge, which was totally unexpected. Portland has lost control of its homeless population, which may be a problem if this sort of thing bothers you.

That 5 star hotel feeling
The staff was so friendly and professional- it was like staying at a hotel that should have cost way more. The rooms are beautiful and super quiet. A great mix of old charm and modern beauty in a great location. The bed was comfortable, and the shower and robes… *chefs kiss*. Loved everything about it. Mostly the staff. But also everything else. Can’t wait to stay here again!

$40.00 per day for parking is ridiculous and greedy. I shall not ever stay there again because of the outrageous cost to park. There is no reason for that. $15.00 to $25.00 a day would have been more than enough!

This is a great hotel and one I will be back many times. The staff are so friendly and everyone was so kind the entire stay. For the reviews talking about the area around the hotel, much like anywhere, just be aware of your surroundings but I never had any issues. Great accommodations. Wonderful from start to finish.

At check in my room wasn’t ready so they put me in a different one that faced the street and all I could hear is homeless pride argue all night, then around 4am the trash trucks came so I got no sleep at all!! Plus the shower had hair in it from the last stay.

Love this hotel. I always stay here, regardless of the surroundings. It is Portland. Hit and miss on areas. Great little dive bar restaurant next door with great breakfast and staff.
