Several staff members at front desk (Anthony & John) went beyond good expectations. Parking, lack of convenient ice , no bar, no food service, among other discomforts, will keep me at arms length. Sorry

Liked: Property conditions & facilities
.The bedroom could have been cleaner. We found a shoe from previous tenant and a bottle of water under the bed, which would indicate this wasn't vacuumed. When we brought to the attention of person at the front desk he seemed very indifferent about and didn't really say anything more besides throw the shoe in trash can, not and apology as he almost looked annoyed we brought it up. Not sure if this would be a choice to stay in the future. The hotel is cute and centrally locate. However it could use some deep cleaning.
Nice well kept property. Room was nice, although did not get much of a view since it was 2nd floor only.
Walkable to public transportation. Very hospitable staff.
Hotel staff was very friendly, room was exceptionally clean, and comfortable. We travel frequently to Portland and will definitely add this hotel to our rotation.
I liked that it is downtown, near Powell's. I could walk places, although nowadays, sadly, Portland is not so attrractive because of the homeless and drugged people lying on the streets.
As for the hotel, I enjoyed their sheets and the bathrobe! The happy hour wine was nice too.
Great location. Very helpful staff. Our suite has a kitchen and was spacious. Wine at 5pm. Close to everything. Only downside is parking-it was full by the time we arrived and we had to park at nearby garage suggested by front desk
Our hotel stay was great. Clean and comfortable. Parking on the other hand is a different story. Don’t show up in a standard truck. You won’t be able to get out of the small parking lot (that costs $32 to park for the night) until the car next to you leaves.
Rooms themselves were comfortable and had some updates that made them more attractive, but in my room there was a very worn and picked sofa and worn out ottoman, and many electrical outlets that could not be used. Lobby carpeting is very dated and in need of replacement, but otherwise, the lobby was fine. All staff were countered were helpful and friendly except for one on the day of our checkout who seemed he couldn’t be bothered with people. I would not likely return to Portland for an overnight, and don’t anticipate staying at this hotel again.
