I really liked the area and how close it was to the historic center. The hostel and the staff were really nice. Just keep in mind that there’s stairs and no elevator. Overall, it was a great experience and a good place to stay in Porto.

Liked: Cleanliness
Great spot to stay! Cannot beat the location. The facility is older but it makes up for it in location by far
Good location, walking distance to most main attractions. The room is clean, however there are ants 🐜 everywhere on the floor. Leaking on the ceiling when it’s raining. No iron and no elevator in the building, 4th floor is the highest floor, if you’re bringing large luggages you need to cling the stairs.
Top floor room meant plenty of stairs, but a great view from this secure and well located guest house. Regularly cleaned room was great, and the location meant most sites of interest were very walkablem Yes is can be noisy given its location, but that is mitigated with double glazing. Only request is for a source of indirect lighting (I dislike overhead lights). Otherwise, I would stay here again.
Fantastic location in central Porto. Very handy for the Metro from the airport and also the night bus back to the airport for our very early flight. As noted by others, it is noisy at night with the window open, but close the window and put the aircon on and everything is fine. We also arrived after midnight but our key was waiting for us in reception so check-in was easy. Would definitely re-book this hotel and we look forward to returning once the new Pink Line Metro works are completed.
We were looking for affordable accommodation and this place was perfect. Great location and really charming place. We were on the top floor and had to carry our suit case up 4 flights of stairs which could be a challenge for certain travelers. We took the room with the shared bathroom and it was comfortable. I would recommend this to family or friends looking for an affordable place in central historic porto.
The panoramic rooms are on the top (4th) floor with no elevator, requiring a climb of 72 steps to reach. The first floor of rooms is about 35 steps. The rooms themselves are quite spacious and comfortable. I would have appreciated a small refrigerator in the room, but there are certainly lots of food and beverage options within blocks of the hotel. There are a few big construction projects going on in the area, so we experienced some noise and dust.
I loved the location!!! The check in process was confusing and it's easy to fix by providing clear instructions. It was clean and well equipped. The night from Saturday to Sunday was outrageously noisy. People were partying until 4:30 in the morning, screaming and yelling. It was insane. The internet stopped working the last 24 hours. Since there wasn't anyone at the reception to talk to, I just ended up using my hot spot.
The check in process was laborious to say the least. If we had not run into the cleaning lady coming out of the hotel we would not have been able to check in.
