Lovely hotel in an amazing position. We were there for two days and managed to walk to a lot of major sites in Porto. The staff were friendly and really informative and the room was ultra clean with everything that you need. The only issue was the noise from the road, obviously our of the hotels control.

Room had a bad smell and paint was peeling off the walls. Definitely needs renovation. Breakfast was expensive and not worth it. The front desk personal was very nice and helpful.

This property is in a very good location for seeing everything Porto has to offer. Our room was a little weird in lay-out, partly because there was a large pillar in the middle - presumably necessary as part of adapting the old buliding. Staff were friendly and attentive. Published room rates are nevertheless quite high ... though deals available through Expedia. And you need to check in in good time to get your complimentary pastel de Nata!

Really smart looking hotel, very clean, staff are excellent. Rooms are quiet (ours was out the back though). If you want to be near the river then the location is excellent, for me it was a bit too “manic” in this area and if I went again I’d stay further out, but for a first visit it’s an excellent location. Toiletries are great. Breakfasts are pretty good (apart from the coffee machine downstairs - that’s vile! but there’s a coffee machine in the room which was great). Staff made a basic packed breakfast for our last morning as we left early. Hotel organised transfer to the airport at 06:30 was only a few euros more than a taxi. The only items I wasn’t keen on were the bathroom door - it’s a sliding one so didn’t give a lot of privacy, and the pillows for me were too soft, but otherwise a lovely hotel

The Hotel's location is pretty perfect as next to Ribeira Square with lots of dining options, etc. Unfortunately, the location means it's next to the main road and we were unlucky to get the room 209 facing the front (main road). The noise level from the road is unbelievably loud and I didn't sleep much for the first 2 nights. Most of the hotel reception staff were quite unfriendly and not helpful at all. Among many ridiculous things when complaining about the room (noise) is that we didn't request a quiet room. Well, it's fair to say that I would definitely never intentionally pay for a noisy room like that!!!
