Actually one of the worst VIP property experiences I have had. Friends who had booked regular rooms had better accommodations than I did. I was on the second floor right in front of a bus stop and friends were given rooms on floors 4 and 6 with views of The city. Also my room had bugs in the bathroom was missing a a hot water kettle which the other rooms had. Very poor service

There is nothing negative to say about this hotel. The level of customer service from all members of staff is exemplary. The interior design throughout the hotel is amazing and the locality is ideal as it enables you to escape the crowds and noise of central Porto without missing the scenery. The dining experience in the Dona Maria restaurant should also not be missed as the views alone along with the food, wine and service are excellent (both breakfasts and dinner).

Absolutely relaxing. We booked this after coming in on the train. Very serene and outstanding service. The next day my wife was ill and although that wasn't ideal for our vacation this was a great place to be. The restaurant was very helpful and let me pick out a few bland items that I could take to her. Highly recommend.

The staff at the hotel were all friendly, attentive and helpful. We were initially unsure of the location with it being the other side of the river, but think this was the better location as everywhere was downhill on the way back, and you have a good view over Porto with lots of nice places to eat out!

The Lodge was great; i only stayed there one night because i was attending a conference at the hilton (which is about 200 ft away) and couldn't get a room there the first night, but after staying at the lodge the first night i wish i had just booked there the entire time. they offer you a welcome drink while your bags are brought up. the room was spacious and very nice. i had a great view of the river/city. unfortunately there were big wildfires during my stay so (i assume this is why) the pool area was not open
