Hotel is very nice and clean. Our River view room was quite noisy, we were only on the fourth floor and right next to the bridge where the train runs and people gather. Great blackout blinds though. We slept with white noise and were fine. Hotel style is a bit Gatsby meets nautical

Great location staff is excellent room is perfect quite a right done after midnight when the train stops running over the bridge but it’s beautiful hotel and the view is amazing over the river. Could be a 5 star

Another Porto trip well catered for
I have stayed here before and although it has its pitfalls like the Warren of lifts and corridors the great staff and the great view along with the position next to a tram stop outweigh the downsides .. however a few pointers for the management .. the outside pool terrace bar was closed although it rains surely it can open on brighter days it is one of your major selling points ! ,,, add more toilets in public areas one is not enough ! .. and buy duvet covers getting rid of the weird sheets round the duvet it just doesn’t work ! Otherwise all good

It’s in a very convenient area , we walked every where. The staff went above and beyond. The restaurant is excellent for breakfast and dinner and again the staff at the restaurant was amazing

Very nice upscale hotel with very comfortable rooms. Breakfast buffet was very good but priced at 27e. each person. Most similar hotels we stayed at in Spain & Portugal were 17e or less and just as good.

The location is optimal, just 2 min walk from Luiz I Bridge, walking distance from all Porto’s Winery. Beautiful decoration, superb views from the restaurant and bars of the hotel and also from the room( if you pay for it) excellent food and service. Rooms are standard size but comfortable. I highly recommend it !

Elegant hotel next to Luiz I bridge in Porto
Very elegant, well maintained and conveniently located hotel on the Vila Nova de Gaia district of Porto. Very friendly and helpful multi-lingual staff. The room we got had a nice view of the Douro River as well as the Luiz I bridge. Except for an unpleasant incident with their event planner, who was rude to my wife and I at the restaurant the evening of October 3rd, everything went well and we had a 3 night, 4 day pleasant stay at the hotel.
