From ease of check in to clean property to great staff, we enjoyed our time at this resort. They provided great activities, exercise at the pool each day, tequila tasting, cocktail making class, good music. LandShark restaurant food and entertainment was great. License to Chill served a variety of great tacos. Coffee Bar in Joe's Merchant included pastries, salads and sandwiches. The Boathouse was the buffet, it provided great choices for breakfast, lunch and dinner, our waitress Yitzy was great. Room Service was good and housekeeping was great, we had Melby. The reservation only restaurants, Frank & Lola's and JWB Steakhouse were both disappointments. The food was dry (our group had mahi mahi, seafood risotto and chicken parm ~ all were dry, with requested added sauce the chicken parm was ok), just expected more flavorful food for a reservation only restaurant. JWB Steakhouse, DON'T waste time on any upcharged steaks. Our waiter, Carlos was great. The upcharge steaks were cut incorrectly (rib eye and cowboy). One of the rib eye steaks we were served was mostly fat and cut like a thin, flat steak, when we complained to the head waiter, Christian, he dismissed our concerns and told us we were wrong and there was nothing he could do, not someone that should be a Head Waiter. We paid almost $100 extra for the rib eye. Paid extra for the Caribbean Lobster, no flavor and dry. The baked potato was the size of a small red potato. The quality of the steaks were just okay.

Service can be improved, servers take a long time to bring a drink or they don't come to the table. Every time I had to ask them to bring water to the table. The room smelled very strongly of mold. The air grille had black marks. When I told the hostess upon arriving, she said she is unable to smell it, although it was very strong. The non-smoking areas are too few and there are no proper ashtrays. There is no beach any longer and the resort should make this public knowledge. The same as for the non-smoking policy. Had I known there is no beach and the resort is non-smoking, I would have chosen a different resort. Otherwise, the property is beautiful, very clean and well cared for. Food was good as well.

In 4 days I was not able to go to any restaurants beside the buffet everyday. They told me I need to reserve same day and when you do there is no places available anymore. "ALL-INCLUSIVE" but you dont get to eat at any restaurant and they advertise for 5 restaurants and only got 2 the buffet so really 3 restaurants and a coffee shop.

Good: Convenient design, several pool and eating options, craft coffee shop (at no extra charge), large room. Improvements: Have clear options for transportation to/from airport (at a hotel discount?) as taxi service from airport is terrible; no Uber). Heat at least one of the larger pools (very few guests were using them; too cold for most to use); if cost is an issue, use solar.

The resort offers a great overall experience with quality accommodations and amenities. However, it lacks direct beach access, which might be a downside for some visitors. Additionally, the nightlife and entertainment options are limited, leaving evenings feeling a bit uneventful. The resort could also benefit from having more dining options, as the current selection feels insufficient for an extended stay.
