We enjoyed our stay here. The entertainment for our grandchildren was great! Nice pools and beach. The dining needs some work, we could never get into the Steak house, tried for the whole week. Hostess was rude and never could accommodate us! Buffet and over all the food was good. We went at Christmas and long lines no matter what. RIU has always been great, and very friendly.

Great resort but 2 double beds not guaranteed
Rooms were spacious and well furnished, and food was better than other all-inclusive resorts we’ve stayed at. Service was excellent everywhere at the resort. Plenty of sun or shade on beach given the palm trees. Ocean was swimmable. Only cons were: 1)we did not get two double beds as what my receipt stated, instead got a king bed. The front desk was not apologetic and told us it’s the category we reserved. Also, pools too small and crowded.

Here’s a more polished version of your review: This was my first visit to Mexico and my first time staying at an all-inclusive resort. I traveled with a large group of friends and family, and we had a lot of fun overall. However, as vegetarians, my wife and I found the food options to be quite limited. While vegetarian options were available, they lacked flavor and became repetitive over the course of our stay. It would be great if the hotel could offer a wider variety of vegetarian dishes, especially more authentic and spicier Mexican options. As an Indian guest, I also noticed that the few Indian food options provided didn’t taste authentic. Cooking Indian cuisine requires expertise, and it’s not something that can be mastered just by following a YouTube tutorial. Improving the quality and authenticity of Indian and other Asian dishes would enhance the experience for guests like us. Lastly, I feel RIU should offer airport transportation for all bookings, regardless of where or how they were made. This added convenience would make the stay even better.

The hotel staff are very friendly , the rooms are decent and spacious, we had a lovely little balcony. The food options are good and I was particularly impressed with the delicious Christmas Eve dinner. Lots of entertainment in the evening till 11 pm. It was safe for the family and fun for the adults. I would stay in the same hotel again

We came there for a family vacation. The property and staff were nice for the most part. The problem for us was with the food and dining options. There were very little vegetarian options and there was a lot of cross contamination/mislabeled food options. That was not right or helpful for people with food allergies. The time when we actually ate properly was when we left the resort and came home.

Probably one of the nicer hotels in Puerto Vallarta. Beautifully remodeled. One thing that i would get rid of is the horses on the beach. They smelled horrible. And I am highly allergic to them. Even when they weren't there you could still smell the stench from where they parked them. Also, they should make the dinner options with reservations. That was incredibly frustrating. We would go to the restaurant and there would be availability but once you went to shower and change and come back down there was no availability. And they wouldn't put my name down. Very frustrating. My husband and son loved the parasailing right there. Great trip. Great service. Pretty decent food as well. It was an amazing vacation

Front desk was not helpful. Food was not good. Bartenders and wait staff were slow (except in steakhouse and Italian restaurants). Entertainment was way too load with no way to get away from it. When asked if there were quieter rooms, we were told ours was the quietest (which couldn’t possibly be true as there are rooms facing away from the main square. The beach was filthy with cigarette butts everywhere. It was the first time we couldn’t wait to go home. Definitely not what we have come to expect from Riu. I will say, however that the bed was very comfortable and our experiences at the Italian restaurant and the steak house were excellent.

Everything else aside. The food was a big problem, everyday its the same menu (even though there's variety). We stayed there for 6 days and got bored of the food after 3 days and were looking for options. All the restaurants had the same Menu as well everyday so no options for folks to eat anywhere else. Very limited options for vegetarians as well. For a premium resort the mgmt should work on making the ala carte restaurants to provide different flavor and not follow the buffet (same menu everyday) routine which becomes very monotonous.

First are safe box was broke we have to wait in the room to someone can fix, we ask for toilet paper and they said was so busy and can take up to one or two hours, cross are room people was screaming in the middle of the night making so much noise, I don't recommended. Food was ok
