Auberge Place de’Armes was a great place for our trip. It was located within walking distance of the German Christmas Market which was perfect for us. We loved the ambience of this hotel. There is no parking at the hotel but there is a very reasonable priced parking lot 2 blocks away. You can pull up to the curb to unload your luggage and it’s a very short walk to the hotel. The steps to get into the hotel are a little steep and even though it’s a double door to get in, only one side opens. We had to go in sideways to get our luggage (not carry on size) through the door. Auberge is a 3 story hotel with no elevator and the older side stairwell is steep and narrow. Our room was on the first floor so only one flight of steps for us and our room faced the street so we had a beautiful view of the Frontenac hotel. It had ample space with a seating area, comfy bed, and great bathroom. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant at the hotel was excellent with great food and prices. We would definitely stay here again and request to be on the newer side.

Home away from home in Quebec City!
I’ve been to Quebec City seven times and have always stayed at Auberge Place d’Armes. I absolutely love it! Everyone is so warm and welcoming. From Virginie at the front desk who is so helpful, to the waiters in the restaurant who provide friendly service, to Chahira who does a beautiful job cleaning the historic hotel, the staff once again made my stay memorable! Thanks everyone!

Fantastic stay. My daughter looooved the room. We woke up to Christmas music playing outside our window where the German Christmas Markets were set up. We like people watching out the window too. It was lovely.

Great location in Quebec City. Easy to walk everywhere. Check in was easy. We stored our bags after check out until our train. Room was in the attic, so not very good if you have trouble with stairs. Would definitely stay again

The location is perfect. You have a view of Frontenac. The rooms are vintage and may not appeal to everybody. The whole hotel has a very vintage feel. There is no 24 hour reception. Parking is a 5 minute walk. Overall decent considering the great location.

The room was a dream. Attic space in an historic building across from the Chateau Frontenac, in the heart of Old Quebec. Doesn't get any better than that.

Was a nice authentic place right in the heart of Quebec city. Was very easy to get to by walking everywhere I wanted to go. A lot of the tours were a pick up right across the street. The only concern is is there’s no elevator for people who need it. Also parking is in a parking garage that is an over four minute walk down a. . The day I left there was a leak over the stairs and there was no choice but to walk underneath the drip. I guess that’s just to be expected an old buildings.

Loved the old world charm... The melding of new and old throughout the building and the room. The room was spacious, well appointed, and extremely quiet. Perfect location to be in at Old Quebec city. Only downside, mattress was to hard for our liking and the water temperature in the shower was sporadic. The restaurant downstairs, Le Buchette, was superb.... excellent food and staff. Can't wait to go back!
