I tripped in the hallway on a plastic strap (the kind that might be found on a shipping box or packet of newspapers). This type of strapping is a dangerous trip hazard and should never be left on the floor.

If you want to stay in a hotel were the cleanliness of the bathrooms are awful, this is the place to stay. Upon arrival we noticed the bedroom washroom was clearly not been cleaned for a few weeks. Black Mold in the showers and pink mold in the sink. Pink mold is dangerous, and its health risks should not be underestimated. It can trigger various allergic reactions and respiratory problems and can lead to the development of infections. Pink mold is particularly dangerous if it makes its way into open wounds. We reported it to the front desk and it was not until the next day in the afternoon that I had to call a housekeeping supervisor that was in the hallway to take care of it. They had to use bleach while we were there in the bedroom. I never received a follow up call despite reporting this and wrote to them with pictures and videos of the situation. The ceiling were the air vents is is gray because the air coming out from it it’s obvious dirty. Till this day no one followed up to give us a credit requested for this inconvenience. Marisol Whitley

Beau séjour à Hotel Palace Royal Québec
Vraiment un bel hôtel avec un bar et 2 restaurants attenants. Le personnel est très professionnel et sympathique, les chambres sont belles et spacieuse. L'hôtel est proche a pied de toutes les activités et principaux restaurants et boutiques de Québec.

Hotel is in a great location. Very central. Hotel is nice, but dated. The bathroom door in our room wouldn’t close properly because of the latch, we had to fix it ourselves a couple times. The body wash dispenser in the shower was clogged and didn’t work. Our check in was a little annoying because we got there at 3pm and were told we were on a priority list to get our room but unfortunately we didn’t get our room till 5pm when others around us were. Check in staff informed me I would get an email to notify me our room was ready. At 5pm I hadn’t received anything yet so I went up to reception again and then I was given our room key. The email didn’t come till 6:47pm, so good thing we didn’t wait for the email. Staff at the hotel were all very friendly, helpful and kind. Breakfast ‘a la carte’ in the restaurant was delicious. Beds are comfortable. Regardless of the couple issues, I would stay here again.

Hôtel bien situé, mais manque d'entretien
Des points positifs et négatifs à propos de cet hôtel. Positifs : L'hôtel est bien situé, la chambre est de bonne taille avec deux pièces séparés pour la suite junior. Nous avons apprécié le lavabo-miroir séparés de la douche et toilette. Belle vue sur le Vieux Québec. Lits queen confortables. Négatifs : Le canapé-lit est vraiment inconfortable et couverture trop mince. La salle de bain n'était pas propre. De la poussière et des moisissures, papier peint qui décolle. Le savon en barre du client précédent n'avait même pas été retiré de la tablette de la douche ce qui confirme qu'elle n'avait pas été lavée. Le drain du bain est bouché donc l'eau s'évacue mal et s'accumule pendant la douche. Nous avions réservé pour quatre personnes et seulement deux débarbouillettes étaient fournies. Les rideaux assombrissants ferment mal et nous avons grimpé sur le lit pour les installer correctement sur les crochets. Longue attente pour avoir une table (alors que le restaurant n'est pas complet) pour déjeuner au restaurant Beffroi dans l'hôtel et je ne le recommande pas. La gaufre sèche et trop sucrée (confiture de bleuets et caramel en plus), oeufs bénédictines trop cuits et goût de fromage sûr. En bref, cet hôtel a beaucoup de potentiel, mais manque d'amour et d'entretien.
