I think the guy ar desk tried to scam us. He said my card was declined, i told him I paid in full on expedia, and what he said doesn't make sense. At this point he had not tried taking payment for pet or deposit. He tried telling me that I had given him a different card from what I paid with I showed him my receipt it matched the last four didgets of my card. He gave me my room key and then at 9pm (we checked in at 5pm) he called my room looking for deposit and pet fee. We were asleep.

Okay stay in quesnel.
Requested wheel chair access room. Front desk clerk didn’t read reservation and was placing us on second level. Was not happy about changing to ground floor room. Room is old. Holes in walls where towel bars pulled out, missing parts of bathroom door frame, bathtub and sink had rust marks - generally room is tired. One thing, floor was replaced and made it very easy for k we scooter to manoeuvre in room.

We stayed for one night. The room was still under construction and really shouldn’t have been rented. The floor in the bathroom wasn’t even finished. The bathroom door wouldn’t close because of the partially installed floor. The pillow had no case on it and the sheets were stained. The bathtub was nice and new. But the floor around it not finished. The maid cart was left outside our room blocking the entrance to our room and wasn’t moved till very early in the morning. It was full of linens and towels left outside all night beside a busy street. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

There was garbage in the area that attracted a bear, which is nice with kids around. No smoke alarm in the room I was in. Toilet on the path to the parking lot as well as a random fishing rod that was found on the ground. Myself and family will not be going back or staying at any other Wyndham hotel/motel if we can help it.

Is still being renovated, painters tape still around doors, not the best paint job either. Not convenient or enough plugs, needs a charging station, continental breakfast that was supposed to be included was not provided, tub was blotched with paint or something, bed cover has cigarette burns or holes of some sort , a foreign substance on a pillow. No place to hang clothes. TV worked at least. There wasn't enough plug ins for the tv, microwave, coffee machine to all be plugged in at the same time. No plug ins near the bed side table to charge phone or use a cpap. The security lock wasn't useable from inside the room. This was room 105. The hotel really should have all the renovations complete before accepting guests.

Renovations were happening. The room was not completely finished, smoke alarm not hooked up, no continental breakfast as advertised, painters tape still around bathtub, shower stall etc. lots of garbage strewn outside from renovations. Not likely to stay here again. Also very noisy upstairs.

The facility was under construction when we arrived. It was quite cluttered with debris. The service was excellent, and that was communicated that our room had just been upgraded. The paint was extremely wet in the bathtub. We were unable to shower that evening and was still wet in the morning and rubbed off on my feet. Secondly, the toilet was not working, and lastly, someone came knocking on our door from the team that works or stays in the facility quite late at night, scaring me and my guest.

They are doing renovations and it made it hard to access the stairs, Toilet had not been cleaned had urine and hair on the seat.The water was brown which smelled like sulfur. The beds were clean so that was a plus. The manager offered a discount for the next stay in a newly renovated room.

The carpeting was extremely dirty. The hair dryer did not work. The plug-in in the bathroom did not work. The bedside plug-in did not work. Only one bedside lamp worked. The property is amidst a files of weeds with garbage strewn nearby. The outstanding item was a clerk who clearly was as disappointed as I was. Note: safety issue

The room was disgusting! The carpet was splattered with “spots/spills” The toilet at the floor had a massive amount of silicone covered with a black matter (mold??) The bathtub did not drain for about 5 minutes AFTER you got out of the shower The shower wall is covered in black spots (mold) in between the tiles The soap dish on the wall of the shower had a USED bar of soap left in it. Have pictures to show how BAD this room was. We used the ironing board to put our suitcases on as NOTHING in the room was clean. Have travelled before and this room was the dirtiest of all the places have EVER stayed.

Stayed out of the downtown after wandering the area and decided to not stay in town. Lots of chain dining in south Quesnel. Enjoyed meeting the young staff at the hotel as they were very helpful.

There is no way this property is anywhere up to any Super 8 Standards. Stairs are dilapidated with horrible unsafe stair height. The sidewalks around have ankle-breaking holes in it. The decor was dated 80's bedspreads and furniture. The milk served at breakfast was spoiled and needed to be replaced. The bathroom tub was lined with hopefully old grip but had large swaths of black sticky substances. The tub drain was so rusted it was green in color. The pillows were filled with lumps, entirely uncomfortable. The hotel is so cheap they appear to the re-using the key card envelopes. The shag rugs as the door mat are awful and likely carrying years of dirt in there. Overall I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Staff were very friendly, we changed rooms on 2nd nite..was a little better - less mould, but heard people above us come in and out all nite. Breakfast was minimal, but good coffee. Good area to walk pet.
