The sauna was funtioning (the reason we booked) the hot water ran out after about 5 mins of showering. There were also dust mites in the throwblanket (also had cigarette burns in it ). Ontop of all this expedia was terribly unsupportive and demanded that I show pictures of the deficiencies.

Nice place. No worries here
Lovely place. Nice big room with a view over the lake. Lovely beer garden outside. Older hotel but was clean and everything worked which needed to. Nice breakfast. Staff very helpful and friendly. Didn't speak English, so practice your German phrases. Everything has a downside, noise from the air traffic was the only thing you could point out here. Would definitely stay again.

Breakfast was good, room was spacious and clean and there's a small lake and a garden nearby. Parking is free as is WiFi which was table and fast enough. Surroundings could be better though (some spring cleaning would make it much better).

No English speaker in reception made it difficult for me as a foreigner visiting, hotel outside town and bar open only after 6pm - not convinient. Hotel was clean but had general feel (and smell) of old furniture and dust.

Came late in the night, but although there was no one there during that worked out fine. A bit outdated in general, but clean and well kept hotel, with a good breakfast.

Family of five slept well
Family of five shared two rooms on our way through Germany. They had no night porter, but called us in advance to tell us how we'd find our room. Not the most modern hotel, but in good condition and very clean. We all slept very well and had a nice breakfast. Nice view over the lake from our room.

Nice little hotel near Hamburg
My family and I stayed here when we were visiting Hamburg, it was about 20 minutes out of our way, and the clerk that was working when we arrived did not speak any English but we managed to figure out what he was trying to tell us. The rooms were in decent condition compared to other German hotels I have stayed at, and the breakfast was pretty good with the usual German spread. I would probably stay here again!

Comfortable stopover
The Hotel is a little off the beaten track, but was ideal for my needs, as the venue I travelled to was only a few hundred metres from the Hotel. The surrounding villages and Towns have a lot to offer by way of activities, golf, shooting, pubs and restaurants. The Hotel Restaurant is quite good and has a small bar. Overall, I was very happy to stay at this Hotel. Its basic, but met my requirements, and was offered at a very reasonable rate.

Quiet out of town location with good restaurant
The hotel is well situated if you want to be within striking distance to Hamburg, but a walk from other restaurants/bars/shops if you feel so inclined. The restaurant is very good although a little on the pricey side. The food is goo though and any locals eat here.The rooms are very comfy and very clean. A lovely bed. The Wifi however is not so good and we had no signal in the rooms. Comfortable stay
