Back Creek Farm Cottage

Back Creek is a working farm consisting of 3500 acres of open paddocks and bush mountains . The cottage is over a hundred years old in parts with a modern renovation.
There is a gravel road to the front gate and house.
You will need a 4wd to explore the tracks on the farm or you can take quiet walks all over the place or serious hiking through the hills.
Tamworth is an easy 1 hour drive away and we are 20 minutes from Quirindi or Werris Creek.
We are off grid with a new set and forget solar system installed August 2020 .
We can provide a laundry service.
This is a very unique property as you have it all to your selves.
Be aware it is a working farm with the usual hazards including electric fences.
During your stay at this farm stay, you'll be close to Quipolly Dam.

Great Country Getaway
This delightful cottage is the perfect get away and has all you will need for your stay. John and Tracey are an absolute delight to deal with, are responsive, helpful and a delight to talk with. This house has definitely been around for a while but has been newly renovated with fresh paint and finishes, it also has all the accessories you could ever need. The kitchen is new and fresh and is well kitted out with utensils, pots and pans, toaster, a microwave, and a full size fridge, just to name a few things. The lounge area has two comfy sofas a big screen smart TV and a slow combustion fireplace that will heat the whole house. This is also where the NBN is connected which is fast and reliable along with a cell phone booster. The front and side verandas are the place to have your meals and afternoon drinks whilst watching the sun rise/set whilst the birds fly about with not a care in the world. The master bedroom has a soft, warm and comfy bed which provided a great nights sleep. Just 50m from the front door is Back Creek which is a great place to discover more wildlife not to mention the odd Yabbee or two. The road out the property has a few easy creek crossings (really they are nothing to worry about) and as with most country roads if you take it easy you will find it no problem at all. If you book this place the only regret you will have is when it is time to leave.

Working away from home
Great place for walking, working and well-being. Recent rains made creek crossings to access the property a challenge. John was very helpful. We had a great time exploring the tracks through the forested hills and along the beautiful creeks. The cottage is very comfortable with great off grid solar and internet. Highly recommended. A beautiful valley all to yourself.

What a great weekend!!
The property is just breathtaking! So much to do an explore if you have an off roader, and if not, there is still so much to see on foot. We took our two dogs and they loved exploring with us! We loved making use of the fire place, beds were comfy and warm, and there was a few hats, beanies and farm coats for us to use which came in handy as we definitely under packed, they were a nice surprise. John and Tracy were lovely to deal with. I have already sent this property to two friends for them to book as well.

Stayed 5 nights with a two and a four year old in the heart of winter and the place was very comfy a bit of old mixed new everything works well .The place gives city kids the chance to run wild and explore the Australian bush them not wanting to leave means we will definitely be back

Great rural experience
The property is still in its natural state. The accommodation was very clean and exactly what we expected. We picked the key up from Tracey who was once again very helpful and offered to lead us out there if we were not sure of directions to the property. What a great experience. My little boy and I loved it. Can’t waitbto get out there again.
