Not Too Shabby Chalet - near Saddleback Mountain

Come be our guests in the most beautiful region of Maine! Whether you're here to hike, bike, or just simply "Get Away", our chalet is the perfect place to escape with your family & friends. Our chalet is 4 miles from Saddleback Mtn, 2 miles from the Rangeley Trail Center, and only 3 miles to the town of Rangeley and Rangeley Lake! Evergreen Golf Course is just down the street! Come relax & enjoy the simple pleasures this property has to offer!

THE SPACE
Enjoy open concept living in this cozy A-frame. Our chalet has 3 bedrooms and comfortably sleeps 6 with a futon for 2 additional guests. The dining area seats 6 with a kitchen bar for 2 more. Many of our guests have told us the space is much bigger than the photos reflect!

Kids and adults can enjoy a fun game of foosball on the main floor! We also have plenty of board games to keep you entertained for hours!

We have a 55” Smart TV in the living room equipped with YouTube TV and streaming services. There's another Smart TV (Netflix) upstairs set up with a PS4 for gaming. Take advantage of our high speed fiber optic internet to work remotely with ease and certainty!

Enjoy our large front deck equipped with a bbq grill, tables and chairs. A firepit is out back for our guests to enjoy a bonfire. Firewood is supplied for your convenience.

GUEST ACCESS
Guests can access the entire house. We have a front entrance via the deck, as well as a private entrance thru the rear bedroom.
Other things to note
We have a wood stove and supply firewood for cold nights. A/C for warm summer days. Our kitchen is fully equipped with the basic appliances, plus a griddle and drip-pot coffee maker. We have a washer and dryer onsite that is available to our guests. We supply detergent and dryer sheets. Clean Linens and towels are also provided.

Spent the weekend at this beautiful property! Clean, spacious comfy! Plenty of room for the family kids enjoyed the games, fire pit was great! We took our side by side right from the property to nearby ATV trails… wonderful time here

Family summer vacation
Had an excellent time! Stayed here for 4th of July week with our family of 4 adults, 2 grandsons ages 7 & 10 and the family dog! House was very clean and comfortable and has everything you need! The house is actually bigger than it looks in pictures. Plenty of things to do in the area and shopping and gas is close by. Saw a lot of wildlife and even spent a day at a local fishing derby for the kids which was amazing! Rented a boat and had fun on the lake. Never got to use the firepit but it was a nice addition to the property. Check in and out was easy and owners were always available to answer any questions we had. This is a great property with everything you need for a nice relaxing vacation in a lovely location. The appliances and furniture all appear to be newly updated and we had no issues with having one 1 bathroom for all us. Would recommend this house to a friend and would stay again anytime. Our youngest grandson was sad to leave. Thank you for your hospitality!

Fantastic Ski House!
Wonderful, cozy and comfortable house for our family of four. Perfect location near Saddleback and close enough to Sugarloaf to spend a day there. The home has all that you need for a relaxing break - great woodstove, efficient kitchen, nice large bathroom and laundry. Kids enjoyed sleeping upstairs in the twin beds and loved playing foosball and air hockey. Primary bedroom on the first floor is very comfortable. The house was spotless and well stocked with the things you need. Plenty of wood for the woodstove. Love the living room and reclining chairs to relax after a day on the slopes. Highly recommend! Winter Break Ski Trip
The Chalet was the perfect size and layout to accommodate our family of 6. The owners were very communicative and reached out in advance due to concerns about a recent storm in the area. Fortunately it did not end up affecting our trip. The kids enjoyed playing fusbal and various board games. The wood stove kept us all cozy. It was our first time to the Rangeley area and Saddleback Mountain. We really loved the area and the mountain and look forward to returning.

Relax
We had a wonderful time. We ate out everyday. I visited the Books,Lines and Thinkers bookshop to get some local books. The chalet was very cozy. The owners were very prompt in reponsing to us(. we traveled in a snow storm) , reminding us to wear boots .

Great long weekend away
We had a great stay at this property the weekend of the 4th of July. The Chalet was perfect for the family. Clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. There is a great front deck to sit out on for your morning coffee or to grill. The location was great as well and just a couple minutes to shopping, restaurants and amazing fireworks!

Perfect Stay!
What a wonderful cabin! Stayed with my family for a weekend of skiing at Saddleback. The home was very comfortable. Great for relaxing after a day on the slopes. Foosball and air hockey kept the kids entertained (and me too). Perfect location- close to town and the slopes. Loved the wood stove for helping to keep the cabin warm during some frigid nights (-18 degrees one morning!). House had everything we needed...honestly, one of the best mini-breaks we've had in a very long time! Thanks Chelsea and Jason!

Worth every penny
My family stayed at this property in late August 2021. We enjoyed every minute of our stay and were quite pleased with the house. It was perfectly equipped, probably more so than most other vacation rentals. Its obvious that Chelsea and Jason have put a lot of thought into making sure their guests are comfortable. There was plenty of room. In fact it felt like the house just kept going and going. There was more than enough room to spread out, but plenty of comfortable space to eat as a family, watch a movie, play a game (the house includes many family games) or enjoy a bonfire. The house is perfectly secluded without feeling too remote. There's the occasional car or two, or a barking dog nearby. Yet it's just steps to a golf course, and a 5 minute drive to the grocery store. Check in/out was easy and reasonable. There were plenty of household items, cleaning supplies, towels and linens, a laptop should one need, video games for the kids, and everything you would need to cook a nice meal at home. The AC worked pretty well Jason, but the house was perfectly comfortable with all the windows open and the fan going. Jason was quick to answer the few questions I had. Overall its a fantastic property in a great location at a very reasonable price. I would recommend this house to a friend and would absolutely consider staying again.

Comfy cottage near Lake Rangeley
My family which includes my 70+ parents, husband, two teenage boys, and our 12 year old lab, Raider, had an excellent time staying here. It was cozy and quiet. We enjoyed boating at Lake Rangely and Lake Mooselookmeguntic where the water is clean and refreshing. My mother swam at the Rangely park and said the water was warm and clean. Picnic tables are available for anyone to enjoy. I highly recommend this cabin. It is spacious, clean, and had everything we needed for cooking our meals. The owners responded to our every need and even returned something I left. We plan on returning and making more memories. Best vacation in Maine!!!!!!

Nice Little House
Our first time in the north western area of Maine and we were pleased with the house. We liked the games available. The air hockey table appeared to be a bit unstable, so we didn’t use it, but the foosball table was great. The decor could be upgraded, carpets replaced and new mattress for the downstairs bedroom. The upstairs suite was very well decorated (although our son was freaked out about the deer head on the wall). We liked the area guides which helped, although most of the restaurants were closed. Owner was very friendly and communicated ahead of time regarding an appliance that did not work, which we appreciated. House is equipped with everything you need. It’s quite dark at night, so we recommend leaving early , especially if you aren’t used to rural mountainous communities.

This place was a long drive for us, but it was all worth it when we got to the place. It was such a nice atmosphere and great location, close to a small town with a lake and the mountain.
