NOT RECOMMENDED.dirty,old,worn.Our experience from beginning to end was unbearable. I booked for 6ppl for $1051.63. Our stay was from 2-7th Feb.When I got my itinerary, it said the booking was only for 2ppl. I called abt the error made,to which tanya insisted i pay $500 for my 4 chldrn.I hesitantly agreed to pay the extra, since they wouldn’t refund me back.baring in mind we were here to bury our mother/nana.so we needd somewhr to stay. I barely got of the plane, before the txts and messages started to spam my phone about paying money now..we just took our mum off the plane and driving to our home in Arorangi &they are spamming me. Im trying to organise my family our transport our luggage our extended family etc.And these ppl are worried about money.. when we finally got to check in,at the house. Staff asked us to pay now. I didn’t have cash at the time because we just got of the plane. I said to the staff pls come back when we are here again. We drove back to Arorangi and slept there with mum one last time. When we came back to the accomm, staff ask on boss behalf Tanya for money now. We still didn’t make it to the atm. On day 3.We got a very nasty phone call frm Tanya &anotherfrmJune. Who came to the property to kick us out! She racially profiled my kids calling them”you people”&accusing thm of breaking her old picture, that fell of th wall.Thtwas the last straw. Frm then on,I refuse to pay anymre.she calld her ppl & police to intimidate me.But the police sided with us.

We stayed at the 3 bedroom beach house for 9 nights. It was set in front of the best snorkelling area and had a lovely little beach right at the bottom of the steps to the beach. There were 3 kayaks provided, 2 outdoor taps and showers and lots of outdoor seating. The view from the deck is amazing! Great parking and easy to find. The house is a typical beach bach, nothing flash but everything you need. All rooms have ceiling fans which are very welcomed, especially at night. One bedroom has ensuite while other 2 share a bathroom inbetween them. Showers were pretty low pressure but didn’t detract from our holiday. The curtains in all the rooms were very light so if you're after dark rooms in the morning, look elsewhere. Again, this didn’t bother us as we were there to enjoy the sunshine! Bedding was clean and pillows and matresses were ok. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. Was great to have a full fridge/freezer and washing machine. There was a shop next door for emergency supplies, open until 10pm which was great. Charlies Bar a 5 minute stroll down the beach was great for cocktails and relaxed dinner. Quick drive to Muri for night markets and resorts so the house is in a great spot. Lots of friendly dogs come visiting and their are chickens with their chicks and roosters about too. Communication with Tanya the owner/manager) was quick and helpful. Our family thoroughly enjoyed the Beach House and would definately book again for a cost effective break.

Location is 9/10 , building needs renovation and repairs , doors dont open and close correctly. The main beedroom locks you in if you close the door. Bathroom doors dont close without spending a few minutes to make it slide. There is mold over all the walls and ceiling , bbq was left with old Moldy food all over it . 1of the bedrooms leak when it rains, they are aware of this as they mentioned it to us when we checked in ortho they didnt mention it was right about the bed. When we were arrived we were told to turn on the hot water cylinder a few hours befor use and to turn it off after each use to save power. Had some infestation with termites or some other bug that eats wood , there were 4 spots that keeped leaving a mess on the floor and would reappear after you clean them. The beedroom to the lounge area had a 20-30mm lip were the floors were not even so watch your step to prevent a stubed tow. Hole in Bathroom ceiling from water damage. 3 Kayaks were available but no paddles ortho there was 1/2 a paddle. We booked for 3 adults and children payment option pay on arrival. Payment was taken 2 months be for arrival and then the provider attempted to charge my car again 2 times befor we arrived. When we arrived we had 3 visits from hotel employee to pay more for having 3 adults ortho the booking wa for 3. We stayed for 8 days. For $2500 they should maintain and clean the property

I stayed at the Beach House down the Road. It is a flat with kitchen for cooking, but the set up was less than ideal. The oven did not work, the dish brush was left with crusted food in it, and there was a truly bizarre odor from under the sink. That said, the staff were friendly and responsive to my needs. The view and proximity to the beach were perfect. The plant growth could be trimmed as it inhibits the view to the beach a bit. The location is really great.

Nice place close to the beach.
Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at raina apartments we were a family of 5 on a tight budget staying in Rarotonga for 15 nights! This place made it all possible. We stayed across the road, in our opinion, from the best beach in Rarotonga tikioki beach in a lovely friendly area of titikaveka. Quality snorkeling and beautiful sceneries to melt away any hassles of life. Didn't take long for island time to set in. June our host was a lovely lady with a quirky sense of humour and was amazing to my children and wife. While this accommodation is not of a 4-5 star resort level, it is at level that's is more than acceptable and well within budget. With an open mind any thing is possible. We love our time and can't wait to return to the cook islands we sadly had to leave. We fell so far in to the groove of island life we nearly missed our flight home as we had forgotten what day of the week it was. Unfortunately we had to leave in quite a mad rush and didn't quite get to say goodbye properly to June, thank you so much for all your help from us all! If you could say goodbye to the lovely neighbours for all the fruit they gave us while we were there, would be good and sorry that we could not say good bye to them as well. Once again thank you, meitaki ma'ata From Kevin, Jess, Dontaey, Haylee and Saphfire.

Beach side accommodation
Took 1.5 hrs for someone to meet us to check us in despite prearranged check in time and needing to phone twice. The room was very dusty - assume it was cleaned after last occupier but not prior to our stay which would have seen the apartment empty prior to our stay. Feet became black from walking aroud the apartment as the floor was dirty and dusty and made sheets and towels black. Great location as it was just across the road from the beach. Furniture was old - the bed was uncomfortable and pillows felt like bricks.

Awesome stay, GREAT location
Tanya contacted us 5 days before we arrived to verify flight details and optional airport transport. we arrived at noon and there a lovely gentleman here ready for us that we had seen every day over the past two weeks. We did laundry on location for 5 dollars, and hung it up outside on the ample clothesline. the 'garden view' apartment on the main floor could comfortably sleep six but for the two of us it was more than enough room, and the beds were comfortable - every three days the linens are changed and almost every day the room is swept by staff. the kitchen table was a good four person space for meals and the kitchen was clean, equipped with a microwave, kettle, gas top, and all dinnerware with a full sized fridge that worked great. a mini mart near by for basics (2 min walk east) and across the road from charlie's and a 3 minutes walk to the wonderful gardens on the west and the apartments are right at a bus stop, making it a great location. 4 kayaks (3 single, one double) with the paddles for free use and three loungers beside them. The photos are fairly up to date with small changes like new cushion covers. We had to working remotely and the in room wifi worked fantastic (there is a new (8/8/2017) modem in the room and minutes are available for purchase with bluesky in Muri (by Avis) to connect; at the time we paid $50 for 3GB, (we had issues with SIM)). All the essentials are covered and for the price we would highly recommend. Thank you for the lovely stay

Stay elsewhere
Because of a travel mishap, I was forced to leave Rarotonga 2 days early. While I pre-booked, and was staying for 12 nights, I thought the hotel owner might be understanding and perhaps allow me to cancel the last two nights, since I was giving her over one weeks notice. However, she was no where to be found during the entire length of stay. I tried leaving a note, I spoke with her mother. Finally, the only way I could get in touch with her was to buy $15 internet cards to email her. Thus, costing me more money. She refused to accommodate me. I thought this demonstrated a complete lack of understanding and sympathy. Furthermore, when I asked her to arrange transport to the airport she tried to charge me TWICE the going rate. I had already taken two trips from the airport and pointed out to her via email that I was already quoted a price half that. She replied that the price was always twice that. Of course, I was able to get to the airport for half of what she quoted me. So, not only would she not accommodate my request to cancel the last two days, she was trying to make even more money off of me. As far as the room, it was ok but the floor was dirty upon arrival. One day cleaning staff was suppose to clean but we were sleeping. We asked them to return later, but they never did. The location is not very good, as there are no restaurants near by except a few lunch spots. Therefore, you must rent a car or a scooter if you stay there.

Rooms are dated and need attention! Not the cleanest of places. No air conditioning but had ceiling fans that are out of balance and noisy, and leaving the windows open at nite leaves you awakening to the property owners dog barking and the local roosters crowing all nite. Getting a decent nites sleep wasn't easy... It's not the worst place I've stayed, and was in a AWSOME location and a cool out door roof top bar b que area to use.

Fantastic location. Beautiful beach
We had a large one bedroom unit that was part of a double duplex. Ideally located, being only a couple of minutes walk from the beach. The lush gardens surrounding the unit and lack of close neighbours gave us peace and privacy. The unit was clean with a large and reasonably new bathroom. Excellent hot water. However, the furnishings and cooking utensils are in need of of an update. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

The apartments are close to the beach, just across the road, but it felt like we were walking through private property to get to the beach. Beautiful tropical gardens. Holes in insect mesh, spider webs in corners. No reception. The room's information folder said to contact the staff anytime on the phone, but it was never answered even when we called during open hours. You have to boil your water, no drinking water or milk provided (lucky we brought a long-life milk in our luggage!). Sadly I accidentally left behind my favourite nightie, and they were unable to find it. The information folder said there was a BBQ available for use on the rooftop, but my husband only found an old broken one that didn't work, and the rooftop was flooded, he thought it may have been a nice area once. Kayaks, but no paddles and no-one to ask for them. A cross dog seems to keep guests away from where the staff live on the second floor. Nice man who did the cleaning. Might have been a nice place once, but now is old and rundown. Did appreciate the garden and the direct phone line.
