Nice motel, very clean. Older structure but recently renovated w all new bathroom facilities and other attractive features. No strong laundry smell: a big plus for folks like me who are sensitive to that. Key cards. We were in corner room, which was a bit noisy: street (trucks, revving motorcycles out front) and neighbors (including plumbing, stomping around.) The trains going by were very pleasant to hear. Location convenient to restaurants and river. Grab n go breakfast snacks, with coffee, tea.

I gave this location 5 stars as the rooms have been updated, very clean, very comfortable. The service was exceptional. There are a couple of things you should not though. Breakfast is hard boiled eggs, granola, yogurt and coffee/juice. Very odd. There is an amazing restaurant though for breakfast about 1 km away, the Big Bend Cafe (see my review). We stayed in the King Premium room. Zero complaints about the room. A little odd but comfortable (see photos) Quiet even though it is by the train tracks. No whistles. The jacuzzi tub takes a long time to fill but was very welcome after a day of driving. There is no elevator to the second floor. The stairs are very narrow and steep. The light for the stairs is motion sensored, at the bottom, so the only light when going down is the exit sign. The handrail is iffy, just a residential wood rail. I would stay here again but not on the second floor.

This is an older property that has been renovated and updated. However it is a wood frame building and noises did transmit on the floor. It sounded like someone was above us. The air conditioner was noisy and the train noise was noticeable. Ear plugs would be useful.

The room is small but very clean and tidy. Bathroom is very clean as well. Nice big TV. The place is across from the train track so you will constantly hear trains even late at night. The place itself is very nice though

Pros- beds were surprisingly comfy. Rooms were very clean. We stayed in two different types of room, 118 has an extra door between the room and the parking lot so it was nice and quiet. Didn’t really notice the train, sounded comparable to the slight rumble of a washing machine. Downtown is an easy 15 min walk. Cons- room 112 was in the middle of the motel. When we stayed in that room we had to wedge something between the safety lock and the door to keep it sealed and reduce noise.

This is the first time we have stopped rather than pass through Revelstoke. The Swiss Chalet is across the street from the RR tracks. We are RR "nuts" and enjoyed watching and hearing the trains rumble through town. The property is lovely. The room was small but comfortable. We were suprised and disappointed that the "free" breakfast was a "snack" breakfast. We ate out.

I like to stay at The Swiss Chalet on the way to the coast. It’s very clean and the staff is friendly. We had a king room this time and it was the best yet. Lots of space in the room. Just steep stairs to get to the second floor.

This property was great value for the cost. It was very clean, & staff were friendly & welcoming. Our room had a large balcony with patio furniture, with a view of the surrounding mountains. The bathroom fixtures were new. The only drawback was the sound of the trains on the tracks across the street, however this is very common in mountain towns.
