The floor felt a bit scummy in the room so i wore my shoes. There was a bit of mold in the shower. There was no water stop in the sink, so you could see the hair from the last guest in there.

This is the 2nd La Quinta in two nights. The first night in Pooler, Ga was wonderful. I arrived in Richmond the 2nd night and it couldn’t have been more different. I arrived late and checkin went fine, but not overly friendly. That’s fine. I went to my room and there was a bleach spot on the carpet in front of my door. Again, no big deal. When I opened the door, the smell was pretty overwhelming of what smelled like water damage, bleach and Fabuloso. It smelled very moldy. I was exhausted from the 2nd day of my trip, and being a single woman traveling alone, I really don’t like to complain. I checked the bed and it looked clean. The shower was clean enough. I decided to just get a shower and sleep. It wasn’t a great stay, but I made it to my destination the next night. Will definitely never stay there again.

The property and room were just fine. We realized the room probably had hard floors (vs carpet) because they allow pets, which is pretty smart. But my socks told a story about those floors. The in-room office chair had some very noticeable mystery stains, and the bathroom seemed like it had some unfinished repairs- the walls had 2 different shades of blue paint like a fixture had been removed or changed, but the finish work wasn’t done. Didn’t impact the usability of the bathroom at all. Overall, it was fine.

The building itself is nice but the guest rooms are terrible. There are holes in the wall, pealing paint, dust a mile high on the base boards and the floors felt grimy under our feet. We had to wear our shoes the entire time while in the room. The beds are hard and uncomfortable. The only positive is that the staff is friendly. I would never stay here again.
