This is a very old, historic property but very well taken care of and very clean. From desk staff were very friendly, efficient and thorough. Great price point for this area. Great location within this historic fishing village which has been transformed into an outstanding tourist spot.

Everything was terrific at first — great staff at check-in, excellent location, wonderful cafe and a spacious, clean room. We did wonder at the ear plugs left on the bedside tables. That is until the band started playing in the Bar & Grill below. Only stay here on Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays unless you have a tolerance for loud music!

A spacious suite of 2 bedrooms with shared shower room/ toilet. Basic but fine. Easy free parking behind the hotel. Very convenient for the wharf where we were doing a whale watching trip. A lovely historical fishing area to explore, and great local restaurants and cafes walkable distance from the hotel

Quiet and quaint built from the 1890’s. Only drawback is rooms are up stairs and no elevator. So either pack light or have a strong back.

Pros Nice comfortable suite with one queen and one twin on one side, one queen on the other. Bathroom the center. All remodeled. Cons 1- hard stairs ro go up the room, no elevator. 2- our room was just above a pub with VERY LOUD music until past 11. Then, people stayed under our windows in the street chatting loudly. We had to get up early THAT WAS VERY inconsiderate AND resulted in a very poor sleep night. . . Hence only.the 3 stars

It is very old building but room is spacious with high ceiling and modern bathroom. Unfortunately the bar under the hotel is so noisy until 1am. That's the main reason for the cheaper price than other nearby hotel.

This is an old Hotel and it has its charm. The rooms are a bit beat up and quite dated, think 70s, carpet around the jacuzzi tub, surrounded by floor to ceiling mirrors... Boy if these walls could talk. Checking into the hotel is strange, like an old ticket kiosk where on the other side the person is also running a liquor store... I can't make this up. As just a place to sleep, it served its purpose and the location cannot be beat.

We booked the Steveston hotel for one night while waiting for a flight. We had booked the quadruple room and were excited for our stay based on the pictures. The staff are great - I will absolutely give them that. But our stay was short lived when we found a mouse running around the room. We were offered a different room, but declined as we didn’t feel assured that this would be an isolated incident. We immediately left the property. The rooms are above a bar, with ours smelling distinctly of smoke. When people were in the hallway it was quite loud, and you could hear the other rooms. The location of it is really quite nice, but once we saw the mouse we were out of there. It’s a shame as this really could be a great property. The staff were great that they refunded us right away.

Room is dated. Shower wall is falling apart. Water temp is the reverse of what it says. No elevator...a lot of stairs to the room. Check in was present and courteous.

The tile in the shower was pushed up in exposing the interior of the wall and the growth of mould and decay/rot. The hot and cold were reversed in the shower. The toilet was full of rust/fecal stains. The carpets were old and dirty. I have taken photos but this review does not allow me to attach them. Very disappointed considering I paid close to $200/night.
