Beautiful park with a lake just beside the hotel, efficient shuttle bus service, delicious food, unique open air onsen design.
Room a bit small, restaurant rather crowded.

The lake and foot bath was really nice. Cute pony and horse. Room was ok but a lot of the price was for the rest of the resort.

I booked a indoor onsen room. However the bottom of the tub and the wooden floor are blackened. I couldn’t really enjoy the in room onsen as I originally wished. The Buffet is good, but after staying at Hoshino Keiryu for 2 days then to Aomoriya , similar content of buffet again, kind of disappointing. In addition, there were no explanations about availability of meal upgrade to show dinner and Nanbusa breakfast. I have to asked about it after I read someone’s blog. Staff’s English wasn’t great either although the underground corridor atmosphere was awesome.
The property was beatuful and peaceful. Took a nice walk around the pond during the day and evening. Soaked my feet while admieing the view of the pond.
We were in the area visiting family at Misawa AFB and there are not a lot of good hotel options in the area. I found this resort (much more than a hotel) and LOVED it! It is VERY family oriented and so there's no nightlife but there is an excellent restaurant and you have access to the hot baths. The staff was wonderful and many spoke english. this is a 100% Japanese experience and I liked it that way. We were the only westerners we say for 4 days. breakfast does include typical Western food though.
This is a great place to stay. Nightly Japanese entertainment, a good shopping area on site, very helpful and friendly staff, nice warm springs to set in, and a very nice surrounding area to walk and sightsee. I would definitely stay again
By all assumption, upon arrival at hotel and passing your bags to the staff at kerbside, you would expect said staff to look after your bags or place it within view while you deal with the check in procedures.
The staff had taken my bags and haphazardly left it in one corner whereby another group of guests simply walked up and took my bags.
To the benefit of the staff, she had acknowledged her fault in the matter however a hotel of this price and calibre should not have incidents like these.
It made the experience entirely unpleasant and unhappy the minute I had entered the property. Requested for the attention of a senior manager but all they presented was the service manager.
Definitely do not recommend this hotel as dealing with the stolen bags had taken precious time that caused me to have to rush through dinner as the restaurant was closing. Definitely not the usual expected level of Japanese hospitality. The outdoor onsen on the other hand is pretty great. And the tours they provided were entertaining.
