This hotel was very clean. Staff were friendly and attentive. Location was centrally located… 5 minute walk from train station and 20 minute walk to Colosseum, Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps. Lots of restaurants around the area.

Great breakfast with lots of options, clean and updated hotel. Most staff were friendly. On check in would have appreciated more information on services and layout of the hotel. The staff member who checked us in was not friendly and seemed as though he didn't want to be there and jot interested in providing much info about the hotel. A little noisy at night as our room was facing the street and balcony door wasn't sound proof. They offered shuttle service to the airport for a cost which was convienient if you don't want to take the crowded express train but would have been nice if included in the cost of our stay.

Best Western Plus Hotel Universo is well located and is reasonable. I would have liked to have breakfast included as it was an additional cost. There is no pool on the premises. Wifi was free and it worked well. Staff are busy with guests and they're not super friendly, just doing their job and not offering anything extra. The room was nice and had a machine for coffee/tea. I liked that they offer a shuttle from the airport for a fee. The driver waited for us and he sent me a message on WhatsApp. He drove super fast and roads were very bumpy. Shuttle to port was more expensive than the one we got ourselves. Overall, we were happy with this hotel.

The check in process was smooth, and our room was nice. Shout out to Marco at the front desk who was so friendly and helpful. He was pleasant to deal with and was always a friendly face when we would come back to the hotel after a long day of touring around the city.

There are lots of restaurants within a 5 min walk. Because of the mixed use and tight area, you can hear the deliveries early in the morning and lots of chatter late into the night from the street and restaurants below. Having said that, our room was very nice with a balcony. There is no side chair or sofa so when you are in your room, you are pretty much on the bed. Bathroom was very nice with a separate water closet. Staff was amazing- we took a red eye so having our room ready by 10am was much appreciated!
