There were no restaurants with in walking distance. The closest restaurant was 15 minutes drive. The check in line was long and slow. Some of the amenities didn’t work.

The first floor area past the reception had such a bad foul smell as though a rodent was dead. Carpets were all snagged and ripping and just not inviting. The room was decent but not updated and there was hair along my shower area that didn’t belong to me. The shower water was cold no hot water. I was looking forward to taking a nice hot shower to get ready for a long flight back home and that didn’t happen, a cold shower instead. Overall not a great stay but for one night it’s okay.

We had no information about how to catch the shuttle. When we tried phoning, it only rang. We later found out the website has published the wrong phone number. The terminal signs led us to the wrong Hilton, and ended up oaying 35€ to get to the right one. Very upsetting. While breakfast is very good, evening dining is limited and the bar was out of Aperol. How does that happen in Rome????

Front desk was busy so we took our drinks to the lounge to pay for them. They charged higher prices than listed at the cooler for the same products. Service was slow and I was tired so didn’t say anything. Was nice to have the airport shuttle.

After 2 1/2 hours of trying to get someone to check the HVAC system for the room because it was only blasting very cold air conditioning, it couldn’t be fixed. We requested moving to a different room and they wouldn’t do it until after they tried to fix it. We wasted 2 1/2 hours sitting in a refrigerator before they moved us.
