We stayed at the hotel for 5 nights. The hotel is beautiful, the decor is fantastic and there is nice ceiling paintings in the rooms, it definitely brightens your mood when coming back from a long tiring day of tours! It's around 15mins walking distance from the train station & Colosseum. The hotel staff is very friendly as well. It you don't want hotel breakfast, they have a drink package where you can get daily fresh juice/coffee for your entire stay that is very affordable (cost the same for about one cup of cappuccino outside at a cafe). The area immediately around the hotel is very nice with lots of great restaurant options, but the area around the train station is a bit dodgy that you have to walk through to reach the hotel. Only thing is for the first 2 days, we declined housekeeping because we woke up late but they didn't come clean the few days either until we complained.

Although a single room is slightly too small for a big suitcase, the location is super convenient for restaurants, bars, cafes, supermarkets of varying price levels, etc., and the staff is super helpful. So, I still give 5 stars despite the room size.

A legendary stay. We had to book a last minute hotel in Rome because our plans changed, we could not have asked for a better hotel than the Amalfi. From the moment we arrived they treated us like returning regulars. I only wish we could have stayed longer. The decor is colorful and historic, the building immaculately clean and the staff were all top of the class. Thank you so much for the amazing stay.

Great and charming little Hotel
the hotel was amazing, and the staff was beyond great, helped with tours, finding places to go, the breakfast was great, the rooms are not huge but big enough, so you are comfortable, the view is really breathtaking, its located in an ideal place, close to the terminal, and the church in front is one thing you cannot miss.

Very expensive but I guess that’s normal for a good central location with reasonable quality. Room pretty small - bathroom too, though bed was comfy and shower good. Also there was a kettle and selection of free teas/ coffee in the room. Did not pay for the extra drinks package and didn’t miss anything there. Breakfast was really nice with plenty of choice. Noted that bar prices were not extortionate though didn’t use it. The receptionist’s recommendation of a nearby restaurant for dinner was very good.

We loved this place. The Monti neighborhood was such an awesome place to have as a home base in Rome and this hotel was perfect for us. We even though it was just my wife and I, we stayed in the “family room” which gave us an extra half room and a balcony overlooking the Basilica of St. Mary, which was gorgeous. I would recommend having that extra room if you tend to pack heavy. The staff of the hotel was absolutely amazing! On top of everything else they did for us, they also helped us handle a medical emergency when we spoke essentially no Italian and made sure that we were taken care of. Five stars isn’t enough.
