Really nice local hotel.
We wanted to stay in a non-Holiday Inn hotel near the airport and we got it! This hotel is local, has really good food, we had to climb stairs, but had a great porter to carry the bags, our room had twin beds, so small room, but enough for one night stay before leaving Rome. Taxi driver they arranged was the BEST! and we were received by the owner was a pleasure. So all in all it was a great little hotel.

After airport hopping all over Europe in 6 days I needed a quiet and relaxing hotel prior to my 9 hr flight the next day out of Rome. I initially thought I would stay in stay in the city but opted for Porto Romano. The property and staff made it a very good decision. Two great restaurants on the property and modern and well appointed rooms. Other than some noise from airplanes it is very serene and a good choice prior to a long flight.

This is a PERFECT place to stay. We were there one night post cruise and it was great! The location is very close to the airport. The Fantastic thing is...that you are at a resort and not a Noisy, Blasé airport hotel. The lovely grounds and rooms are kept meticulously clean. A relaxing stay right by the Marina. The restaurant and bar on the grounds were Fantastic. We enjoyed both lunch and dinner at the restaurant. The bartender served us the best drinks we had during our 12 day cruise. The Entire Staff was Exceptional!! Another Plus is that the Resort arranged our transportation from the Cruise Pier to the Resort and then our transportation from the Resort to the Airport on our departure day. Again...A PERFECT place to stay!!!

Nice place. We wish we could have explored the property/port a little more, it looked like a nice place and location. Unfortunately, we got in fairly late (we had just flown into Rome from Palermo), and we had to leave fairly early the next day to fly back to the United States. When we arrived, the front desk staff offered to help us order food at a local place, because their kitchen was already closed. The prices of the place we ordered from all looked reasonable, and the food was good. The beds were nicer (softer) here than any of the other places we had stayed in Italy. We definitely appreciated that this hotel had a shuttle available to pick us up from the airport and to bring us back the next day. The last time we were at the Rome airport and had booked an (unexpected) overnight stay by the port, it was a nightmare trying to find anyone late at night who would drive us to our hotel (all the taxis were going to the city center, and none of the Ubers would pick us up). So, even though we had to wait a bit (we had just barely missed the last shuttle), it was definitely reassuring to know that we had a ride coming.
