We had a lovely stay to celebrate a birthday. The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. We enjoyed dinner at the restaurant which was delicious and very reasonably priced. The breakfast the next morning was also great. Service was top notch throughout!
The room was beautiful and very clean but exceptionally hot even though a fan was provided. Felt the bathroom needed more shelving for storage. Also the wardrobe only had 2 hangers to hang clothes on which did not worry us as we were only staying a few days but would have been a problem if we were staying longer. Overall a very pleasant experience and lovely accommodation. The staff were all very friendly and helpful would recommend this accommodation
Lovely big room, friendly staff, tasty meal and decent breakfast. Slight down points - the view was of a car park and disused building (but not much can be done about that) and the bed was wobbly and squeaky, with the mattress sloping on one side. The staff were quick to note this and said it would be sorted promptly. Overall, this didn’t detract from what was a lovely night in a pretty seaside village.
My recent stay at The Ship Inn was nothing short of delightful. The room was exquisite, featuring a majestic four-poster bed and an elegant roll-top bath. The decor was tastefully done, creating a warm and inviting ambiance. Over the course of my two-night stay, I was treated to a lovely breakfast each morning, which was a perfect start to the day. The staff were the epitome of friendliness, always ready to assist with a smile. I left with fond memories and look forward to returning to The Ship Inn for another wonderful experience.
We visit friends in the new Romney area and came across this booking by mistake
Only it turned out to be a very good mistake & will be returning on our visits going forward 😍
Lovely staff & the Breakfast was delicious
A very warm welcome from Connor on our arrival, we stayed in the seaside suite and it was lovely. Bright and airy with a separate (but adjoining) room for the kids and big bathroom, perfect for a relaxing soak. We had a slight misshap with our bathroom plumbing but Connor went above and beyond to fix it. Had one of the best sticky toffee puddings I've ever tasted at dinner (honesty, SO good!). Breakfast was tasty and Olivia was equally charming and hospitable to us as we checked out. All in all, a really nice break by the seaside and all the staff are so welcoming and friendly. Definitely going to stay again.
Friendly welcome and service.
Comfortable smallish room (Church view-but also a busy road..). Good shower. Some 'fussy' furnishings.
Breakfast was poor: no fruit or yoghurts, very few cereals; little choice of bread. Cooked part saved the day!
Overall, perfectly ok for a night or two. But hotel needs to sharpen up its act for the price.
An ancient inn so interesting, quirky, but quite small room. There was a big cupboard for clothes and suitcase, but once we put the 6 huge cushions and large bedspread in it there was no room left for clothes. Reducing the number of cushions or replacing the bedside tables with bedside chests would improve storage space.
It was nice to have a bath and a shower, but there were no hooks on which to hang clothes while using them.
There was no shelf space in the bathroom so we had to balance toiletries precariously on the back of the toilet. Rather risky. A shelf by the mirror would be very helpful.
The staff were friendly and helpful and the food for breakfast and evening meals was excellent, despite the breakfast buffet being reduced by Covid restrictions.
