Stroll through midtown, stop and enjoy a glass of wine. There are many restaurants in Ruidoso from Mexican food, to burgers, steaks, soups, and delicious desserts! Usually, dates in latter March, all of April, first part of May, early November have some discounted rates. Weekly rates available also. Higher rates include New Years, Christmas season, Spring Break, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving & Memorial Day. Although holiday rates are increased, we do not try to capitalize on holidays by raising excessively. Not all holiday rates are the same either. Wonderful property
We had the best time. The views were beautiful, the house was perfect for us, and the amenities were wonderful. We spent every morning on the top deck having coffee and every evening on the bottom deck in the hot tub. Check in and out process was easy and the hosts include a welcome packet with instructions for check out and local things to do. We hope to be back soon

Fall get away !
My husband and our dog Brady and I needed to get away from the hustle and bustle of a hectic time in our lives . We stayed at this adorable cottage, so clean and lovely decorations ( very cozy ) ! We loved the outside decks and watching the elk and deer gathering and grazing outside and watching the raven birds gliding through the sky ! Great location, minutes away from grocery store and restaurants and close to many great outdoor activities. For us this was a great get away !

We had a wonderful time at Elk Crossing! Cute little house, near town, just right for a small family or a couple looking for a cozy getaway. The house was clean and cozy, equipped with everything we needed. The hot tub was great! No problems at all. Communication with the property owner was excellent...she was kind and friendly. We had a wonderful experience and definitely recommend this property to anyone!

Good times
Hubby and I came with our dogs for a hiking trip. Really appreciated the well-stocked kitchen supplies (thanks for the coffee!) and washer/dryer with laundry detergent. Enjoyed the hot tub with plenty of privacy and extra towels. We arrived at night, so didnt find the firewood until the next day, plus had to go buy some matches, but we got it all figured out. Appreciated being so close to the grocery store. Also saw a herd of deer come through the yard, as well as a couple of bulk elk fighting it out as we drove through the neighborhood. Thanks for the experience!

Property was great. Wildlife traveled through the property daily. Open lot next door provided some running room for our dog. Home needs a few updates and repairs with cabinets and drawers in the kitchen. It's in a great location to downtown shopping. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Nice hideaway in the mountains with pleasant, yet hilly, walking distance to town. Most liked were the comfortable furnishings and bedding and fireplace. Kitchen items covered all needs. Nice back/side porch with grill and hottub. Be cautious of parking area during snowfall.

It was excellent!
The cottage itself was exactly as described, in my opinion given the cleaning fee, it could have been a little more tidy. Lots of cobwebs and spiders during our stay but wasn’t a huge deal. I bought a swiffer duster and took down as many cobwebs as I could reach. Location was ideal for what we were up there for - hot tub was a great plus even though we didn’t use it, it was nice to know it was an option. Pots and pans could use an upgrade - I just went to the local Albertsons and bought a pan for use while we were there. Overall, 4/5!

Lovely cabin!
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay at Jannelle’s lovely cabin. The hot tub worked great, the bed was comfortable and we enjoyed sitting out on the deck watching the deer come to feed. As others may have mentioned there is a walkway down to the front door. The owners had the foresight to install solar lighting down the pathway which helped immensely. The cabin is quiet and peaceful. We found it to be spotless and very well appointed. Everything was in great condition. We did notice that the internet was a bit slow. It didn’t bother us much as we were there to relax, not use the internet. Communication between us and Jannelle was perfect. She responded to all our questions quickly. She also has provided an informational folder in the house which explained everything we needed to know. The cabin was located in a quiet neighborhood but had easy access to all that Ruidoso has to offer.
