Good location but not a great experience
Having stayed in many places locally this is a great location but numerous issues ruined our stay. Arrival is anything but welcoming with the heating left off and taking in excess of 16 hours to get up to 17 degrees. A log burner is provided but single match we were left blew out on it's way into the stove! The stay was tortuous with a fridge which beeped solidly for the 5 days we were there, largely in unison with a fire alarm whose batteries were running out (unreachable for us). The bathroom door doesn't close or lock either (possibly due to the changes in temperature) so you're forced to listen to others on the toilet, not the most enjoyable experience. Basic items such as a kitchen sponge and scissors are also not provided which is a shame. All in all, great location but for the reasons above I would not recommend this as a relaxing stay at the beach, there are many other properties which have more to offer in the way of basic comfort.
