Beautiful Japanese setting. Loved the tatami mats and the bathroom facilities. Appreciated the hotel driver that picked us up where the bus dropped us off and then gave us a tour and took us to the salt mines the next day.
Very pleasant hotel, need rental car as taxis expensive. Food excellent and staff attentive and truly interested in making your stay a good one. Private onsen had great views of the coastline. Room spacious and view for sunset perfect
The views of the shore and sea are incredible. The staff are warm and attentive. They have private two outdoor hot spring baths that you can share as a couple—most ryokan have only gender-specific shared hot spring baths.
Amazing view both from the rooms and the private onsen. Beautiful rooms in the traditional Japanese style, but with all modern amenities. We ate about six of our meals at the hotel and the food was delicious with a large variety. The staff were extremely polite and made sure we had everything we needed.
Can't recommend this place enough.
The food was fabulous! Although the workers spoke limited English, they put in a lot of effort to communicate. They had nightly local entertainment. The grounds were beautiful and both the private and public onsens were great.
Staff was very courteous. Food was wonderful. Onsen was great. I speak Japanese, but since I was raised in the US, I had some cultural fumbles, but they were really nice about it.
