A historical building. Rooms excellent. Staff friendly. Restaurant good but with very limited choice, and for that reason alone I would not like to stay longer than the three nights that we did.
A large clean air conditioned room, access by lift with very helpful staff. The decoration was a little tired but acceptable and a good historic building. Parking in the public car park was not ideal. Limited evening meal menu but good breakfast.
Great one night stay, lovely large room with balcony and great views across the town. Very quiet, comfortable beds and a great price! Free Wi-Fi, easy free parking and nice staff!
A bit old, but nice, clean and with old world charm

The Red Carpet it is not
What a shame this grand hotel has been allowed to fall into disrepair.
While all the staff were lovely and the rooms quite comfortable the condition of the property was a disgrace. Crumbling facades, rusting railings, faded carpet and flooring that is broken and loose. It feels like the owners have spent loads of money in fancy gaming machines and little on maintaining the building fabric. This hotel could be amazing but it will need serious money spent to bring it back to anything worth a visit.
The hotel was excelleb=nt as usual especially breakfast. One downside was that the restaurant was closed despite the menu being on a board outside the restaurant. The only brasserie was closed. Luckily we met three wonderful Irish ladies who directed and sheparded us to a "hole in the wall" pizza maschine. The pizza was excellent and we shall certainly be booking this hotel again but checking restaurant is open at reception
The bathroom needed to be clean better there was mold and grunge in the shower at the base on the rollers also I expect complete mattress instead of two twins pushed together so there's a crease in the middle I understand that's European but maybe they could get on board after this many years and the carpet was super old
Great old hotel with a nice breakfast, they serve lunch too. Rooms have nice beds and air conditioning which was great as temperature was about 100 degrees! Showers are tiny.
Not easy to find entrance gos a bit wrong. Poor signage. Urgently needs a refurb and update.
Room very basic, I didn’t even fit into my shower.
To start I was disappointed however I had a great night sleep. Quiet. Dark. Really comfy bed.
Breakfast was continental but adequate.
Helpful staff.
Didn't know what to expect as it also holds a casino. What a great surprise! Perfectly located for walks around Salies de Bearn, easy in-out of town for day trips. But the big wow was how well the rooms have been done. High ceilings, good sized room, big windows overlooking quiet area, very comfortable bed & bedding. Bath was deep, shower was excellent. One of the best French countryside experiences we have had. Booked one night, added a second we liked it so much. Sure there are slots in the "casino" but it's a small part of the hotel. Def would stay here again when in the area.
Hotel was very clean, parking very nearby. It is slightly lacking in atmosphere but very good value for money. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room extremely spacious.

Nice quiet comfortable bedroom
Rooms are very quiet, clean and comfortable and the staff were very friendly however the bedroom corridor decor was like a set from 'The Shining' movie - without Jack Nicholson. Despite this we had a great night sleep. We were not aware from the website it was also the town Casino which was not a problem - just unexpected. Restaurant and bar was good value too. All the public areas need an upgrade. Its in a great location to walk the town and is right beside the Thermal baths too - which are great.
We loved the architecture of the building. Edwardian style with lovely rooms inside. Hotel rooms are around outside and we had a lovely central room on first floor with 3 French doors leading to small balcony. We overlooked the park and baths. The room was large and well furnished. The casino is a bit bizarre but different. The restaurant is in a lovely room but the service was dreadful and the food was not good. My husband is vegetarian and after saying that they would design a meal we opted to eat on our first night. It was a disaster. Over 20 minutes to order a drink despite there being only one other person on the restaurant with two servers. The portions were tiny and the designed meal was a plate of raw vegetables and salad for starter and then tiny portion of pasta with same veg for main. We ended up ,raving and going to the local store for crisps etc....
Town is sweet but we saw it in an afternoon.
The day we arrived for a single nights stay it was hot at about 35 c. The a/c In the building was unable to maintain a cool room. It was downright hot in our room and remained that way until late evening when a cool wind brought the temperature down. I would never stay here again.
Hotel was lovely, with very, very soundproof windows. Lots of street noise, but when we closed the windows - silence! Parking was a big of a challenge - across the road, through a tunnel, at the train station - but it worked.
Came for wedding of a friend. Pleasant stay, very secluded.

An Old Hotel with a Casino
The sign on this historic building reads "Casino" with "Hotel" not the first thing you see. It's not easy to renovate a building as historic and complex as this one. The breakfast wasn't very good. But the town is very nice and I wish them well.
