Reserved a room with 2 queen beds and a pull out couch for 3 guests, but during check in was told they didn't have that room and was given a room with 1 king and a couch and told they had no other room at all. Why pay almost $300 when you don't even get the amount of beds you paid for?

Charming hotel, awesome location
This is a charming older hotel in the best downtown location, steps away from the riverwalk. It was clean, and the great staff hospitality gives a more personal touch than other big hotels. It doesn't feel "corporate." In addition to the free breakfast, they also include an evening "kick back" (free drinks and a light supper) at no cost. Here are the negative things they could improve on: (1) coffee in the lobby at breakfast was full of grounds and undrinkable. (2) quality of shampoo, conditioner, body wash was not great. It wouldn't cost much to upgrade those for a more luxury experience. (3) the hotel garage was very difficult to navigate with my rental car. Lines need to be redrawn to give each car more space. I was not able to unload the car by myself without pulling forward of the space, and had a hard time even getting out of the car because the space is so small. While unloading we were almost hit by another car coming up the ramp. If they can't redesign the garage, they should probably have a vallet.

I liked a lot of things about this property. The staff was friendly and helpful. I liked the free breakfast. I liked the location. It was great being able to walk to the shops and restaurants along the Riverwalk, but yet a little distanced to still be quiet and peaceful since it’s not in the middle of the busiest parts of the Riverwalk. My room was nice, clean, and comfortable. The biggest thing for me that needed improvement was the terrace. I was on a work trip. Since the weather was nice and since I had to work, I wanted to work from my terrace. I did, but the terrace was dusty and dirty. It would have been nice if the floor was swept and cleaned and the furniture dusted. I understand it can be difficult keeping things clean on the terrace since it’s outside in the elements. However, the hotel should consider at least cleaning it on the day a guest checks in. The property could use some updating to the walls and carpet in the hallways leading to the guest rooms, but not a huge deal for me. Overall, I would stay here again.
