Excellent Stay
From check in to check out, the staff are so helpful and welcoming. The welcome cocktail was an added treat. The bar provides amazing drinks. Be sure to visit their Speakeasy, The Study, for specialty drinks. This is a beautiful hotel in an historic setting.

We arrived and were told our handicap accessible room was double booked and the other person had already taken the room. Our family member has serious disabilities and is wheelchair bound. The staff did find another room at another hotel but it was not accessible enough for him. We made do but had to have furniture removed from the room and he was not able to take a bath. It was very disappointing to be turned away when it is not easy to find a handicap accessible room. It would have been a better experience if we were told at least a day prior to arrival and we could have made other plans. Very disappointing experience and will not use Kimpton again.

Everything was nice and beautiful specially with all the Christmas decorations. The only thing you have to valet park your car and the cost is $60 which I think is very overpriced.

What a beautiful place! Enjoyed the level of pet friendliness the place exuded. The hospitality and friendliness of staff was infectious and it was nice to see a hotel prioritizing this while not being “snooty.” Will definitely be back next time in San Antonio

Valet takes too long. Not sure why. We waited close to an hour at checkout and there was only one other couple ahead of us. Other than that this was one of the best stays I’ve had in SA. I will definitely stay again.

Walking distance to lots of entertainment and restaurants. Valet ONLY parking was very nice, but wished we could park our vehicle ourselves. We were told the lot was 2.5 blocks away. Construction across the street didn't start too early. Restaurant on site was very good and ALL staff was very helpful and sweet. The rooftop bar had an amazing view!! Pool was a bit cool but we would definitely return to the Kimpton Santos San Antonio!!

Not a good experience
The hotel itself has some positive architectural features along with some seriously negative ones. Access to 10th floor rooms is very uninviting. Though it is on roof top pool level, getting to the room felt like going in through the back door. We did not like the raw polished concrete in the rooms. It looks unfinished and a cheap rug under the bed did not make up for it. We had trouble with the shower head gears ( cheap stuff) and the AC was a source of trouble from a thermostat and sound point of view. Most of all though, on service, they have a long way up to get to mediocre. The room was not cleaned and using Thanksgiving as a pretext to justify not attending the room does not make much sense to us. Also they ran out of Turkey mid service during the Thanksgiving brunch!!! The Study, a high end mixology bar, was very small and we sat at our table for 15 minutes without being attended to at all. Ended up walking out. Some associates tried hard but overall a major disappointment. We could not recommend anyone stay there. There are plenty of far better places in San Antonio. Even valet parking will cost 60 a day with tax which is outrageous when considering the abundance of parking areas around the property. Not the right vibe at all. There will be no second chance.

Beautiful new property! Excellent staff! AJ and Rebecca at the front desk were phenomenal and made our stay a true pleasure. Corrina in the restaurant made our breakfast a pleasant experience each morning. All the staff including the manager Kat made us feel like we were at home. Dean’s Steak and Seafood is an incredible dining experience. Worth enjoying a dinner there. Definitely recommend the Kimpton Santo. It will be my go to hotel in San Antonio. Very convenient to the river walk and other dining options.
