Check in was easy and efficient. Staff were friendly. Great location. Reasonable price. We did have a couple issues. Apparently, they allow pets on the 1st & 2nd floors. We were on the 4th floor and heard a dog barking on our floor. One of our trips in the elevator we noticed small puddles on the floor, and it smelled like dog. Our room was large and comfortable, but the A/C was difficult to regulate. The unit was in the sleeping area while the thermostat was in the sitting area. It was usually freezing in the bedroom and warm in the sitting area. Not sure how to fix that. We did mention these to the desk staff, and they said they'd look into it.

It’s listed as “riverwalk” but not close to the riverwalk. The room was ok but felt dirty. There were 2 used towels hanging over the towel rack when we got there. And the bathroom door is a barn door style with no lock. The breakfast was underwhelming. We only stayed one night and that was plenty. Dissappointed that it was pricey and a Marriott.

My recent stay was a disappointing experience. The breakfast was not what I had hoped for; the waffle machine was broken, and the only option for sausage was turkey, which didn’t appeal to me. To add to my frustration, when I arrived for breakfast at 7:45 AM, the coffee was already out. The room itself had its issues, particularly the bathtub, which looked worn and in need of an upgrade. I also noticed that the pool was dirty, which made it uninviting for a swim. To top it all off, when I tried to use the business center, I was informed it was closed for interviews. Overall, I was not impressed with my stay and wouldn’t recommend this hotel based on my experience.

Exceptional Stay at SpringHill Suites Downtown/River Walk! I recently stayed at SpringHill Suites Downtown/River Walk and had an absolutely fantastic experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, ensuring that my check-in process was smooth and efficient. The room was immaculate, spacious, and well-appointed with all the amenities I could possibly need. The bed was extremely comfortable. One of the highlights of my stay was the convenient access to local attractions. The hotel’s location was also perfect for exploring San Antonio River Walk, with many key attractions just a short walk/drive away. The customer service truly stood out during my stay. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate my requests and were always ready to assist with a smile. It’s clear that guest satisfaction is their top priority. Overall, my experience at Springhill Suites San Antonio Downtown/River Walk was exceptional, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone looking for an average not too expensive luxurious and comfortable stay in San Antonio Downtown/River Walk.
